Guess who got up and T/F/S Ozzy this morning??? HUBBY!!! He has never gotten up and did all three and as you may recall, he accidentally OD'd Ozzy earlier in the week. I thought he had given up and wanted no part of it, but nope...he decided to try to start helping more. I went and watched him to make sure he's doing it the same as me and he is.

So I have HELP!!!!

Home for a 3-day weekend (I LOVE every other Fridays off) so I can really see how Ozzy is doing now.

Got stuck in nightmare LA traffic that took me over 90 minutes to go 18 miles home so was totally late getting in the door. And guess who is all confident now and said they would take care of the T/F/S routine so Ozzy would stay on his schedule??? Hubby!!! Hubby did all Ozzy's tests, his insulin shots and filled his feeder today. He's helping so much now and I'm SOOOO happy for the help! I am going to see if he'll get up at 5:30am tomorrow (he can come right back to bed after) and let this mama bean sleep in for the first weekend since Nov 30, 2016! I am so grateful for the help and really appreciate my Bear! He does help with feeding and other aspects like testing every once in awhile, but having help with the insulin is a new change and is so welcome. I can finally go to an after work Happy Hour or other events knowing he can do the insulin shots now.

We are lucky because Ozzy is a friggen champ taking his shots. We took advice from others here and shoot him while he is eating and he tolerates it so well. We will just gently come up behind him while he's grazing away at his meal, pull up his scruff, and he will stop eating and WAIT for us to inject him and then go right back to eating like nothing happened. He totally trusts us now and never seems to have any pain from his insulin injections (unlike his ear pokes where he lets out a tiny cry most times).

I am really happy Hubby is on board and feel like the 3 of us are making a great team. Ozzy is doing his part too...now he just needs to work that juice!!!

Congrats for your new team member! You should get "Team Ozzy" jerseys made up for everyone :)

That's funny because Whispy is the same way. When he feels you lift his scruff, he just pauses for a moment, and after the shot is done, he goes right back to shovelin' it in!

@Sandi & Whisper How funny, we were just talking about 'Team Ozzy"! Hahah..

OMGosh...Whispy is SOOOOOO cute! I love all that fur. What an adorable kitty!!:cat::cat::cat::cat:
