Good morning!

Sam tested 410 this morning. I was able to test him last night 5 hrs after I tried to eyeball half of 0.25u and he was 407 at 9:46pm. Don't know if he went any lower in the middle of the night but now it's 5:44am Mountain time and he tested 410. Should I continue to give half of 0.25u or maybe 0.2? I think I iwll give him 0.25u not half because since he will be eating during the day I'm curious to see if in 12 hrs he will low or not.
Someone suggested me via pm that he might be testing low with 0.25u in the morning because he doesn't have access to food all night.
I left some food last night by hi bed but I think my other cat ate it (since the bowl was clean, Sam doesn't usually lick the bowl). i also have left food for Franklin (wellness which Sam doesn't like).

Anyways I will give him 0.25u and try to sleep for 2 more hrs before i have to work

I think your .25 is a good idea. His numbers still aren't making a lot of sense. They are looking very different from his first few days on insulin when you are getting all the lows, so maybe he is adjusting to the insulin and will start showing some consistency.

thank you. We'll see how things will go. So let's say he tests lowe tonight after 12 hrs does ie mean his body might get readjusted to 0.25u eventually?

I don't know, Nadia. I am just hoping for a couple cycles that look a little similar in the way he is reacting to the insulin. We just getting data and keeping him in safe numbers till it starts to make sense.

thank you. I will need your wise opinion when you think stuff will start to make sense because i don't know if i will be able to tell!!

I agree with Sue
and this weekend hopefully youcan gather some more data and decide where to go

it's been 12 hrs since his am shot and he tested 446. I tested him 6 hrs after his am shot and he went down to 302 now he went up to 446.

Finally, a normal looking cycle. - like a smile. Higher than we would like in terms of numbers but his reaction looks more reasonable and predictable. Since it's night, I would stick with .25. If he is still in the 400s tomorrow, maybe increase to .5? What do you think, Nadja?

I think this is a good idea Sue :] so if he is on 400's tomorrow morning I will increase the dose to 0.5u
as always I will keep you posted :]

thank you for everything!
