Paula, :bighug::bighug::bighug:. I went back and read your recent condos. You have been given some very good advice. I have been doing this all alone as well. I rarely get out much until after Max's +6 and am sleep deprived. It took over a year for Max to stop the big bounces. I had to get very aggressive with him and not many people are able to do that due to jobs and families. I'm retired so I can. Is Michael having other health issues? Is he inappetent, vomiting, having diarrhea or constipation? I'm asking to see if I can possibly make some suggestions. If none of this is happening then I'm puzzled as to why you think you are being unfair to him by treating him and why the feeling it is time to give up. Hang in there. Nobody said that this would be easy. Some get lucky. The rest of us plod along.

Hi Paula & Michael,
Just checking in to see how Michael is doing. Looks like he's still working on clearing the bounce from those blues on 2/21. It can take up to 72 hours to clear a bounce, so not to worry. At least you know that his liver is working just fine! How's he feeling otherwise? All 5 Ps in place?

I hope you're taking some time for yourself to do things you like to do. It's very important to take even just a few hours a day (they don't have to be consecutive). I've been caring for my diabetic kitties for 9 years (5 years with the help of the board and 4 years before that, alone in the "wilderness"). I try to have a life and to work around Rusty's schedule. I am fortunate that Edward can help out with food and combing, "watching" and playing, but owing to his very low vision he can't test, or draw doses, or shoot.
Everyone in the L&L Family has to work out his or her own modus operandi with regard to schedule, foods, insulins, meters, pet sitters, etc., and I'll bet there are hundreds of variations that are being tried here. Just remember that you are not alone. And Michael is a very lucky kitty to have you for his "mamabean".

:bighug::bighug::bighug:s and scritches,

Ella & Rusty

Hi Paula.

I hope you are having a good Monday (is that a contradiction in terms? :p). Michael looks like he's trying to clear his bounce. As Ella said, it just takes time. It's hard to be patient, I know.

Just wanted you to know I'm thinking about you guys!

That +3 is looking good....you're heading the right way, Michael!! I hope you are enjoying some wonderful snuggles with your extra sweet boy!!

Hey, Michael. You and Polly have got to stop this synchronized trampoline action. Keep it up and I suspect you'll both be grounded! A little dancing is o.k. But no trampoline stuff. This mamabean has spoken!

Yes, I know. The darned kits just don't listen.

WOOHOO! Right on time, little guy! I was thinking it looks like he has a nice blue day, then one day of bounce, then he's back in blue again. Every other day pretty consistently at the moment.

Lookie, lookie, someone remembered where the blue floor was!!!!!

Nice job, Paul and Michael!!! Now work the juice your momma gave you and slide on down to the beautiful, safe greens.....
