Well, Logan's yellow didn't last long last night. He went up to 359 at +8 and was at 366 this morning. I have a feeling he just kept rising after PMPS last night.

He didn't eat especially well this morning. He didn't act like he felt well, either. Hoping it's just an off day.

Hi Kelly,
It is quite the rollercoaster, isnt it. :YMSIGH:
Probably an off day...or an off few hours. Notice today, after posting a great report on Latte, she vomited moments later! ohmygod_smile Hopefully Logan will get past the rollercoaster phase.

Are you giving pred at night?

Also, was wondering...did you get an email from the IBD group about it closing and a new one starting? If not I will try to find the link and send it to ya.

Hope you have a great day and logan turns things around before you get home from work.

(((Kelly & Logan))) Hope Logan snaps back to some nice yellows for you again today and he perks up some. Continued healing and healthy vines being sent to cover Logan and keep him warm.

Maybe there was something in the air yesterday because Quincy puked up a bunch of food last night too. I think he had too much to eat last night and scarfed down a snack around 12:30am far too quickly. Here's hoping everyone does better today!

Re: 2/23 Logan AMPS 366, +6 325

Not much movement, as usual, but he at least he went in the right direction. He's still not eating well. I guess I'll have to give him the appetite stimulant tonight.

Carolyn, I've been giving him the pred in the morning. The internist wanted us to give it in the morning, so we could observe how he reacted to it during the day when we're home on the weekends. It defintely makes him very thirsty and he does this thing where he just sits there with his mouth slightly open. He looks a little dazed. This is all worse during the day, so I'm assuming it's the pred.

Hi Kelly,
I just wanted to stop by and let you know I am always thinking of Logan and wishing him well.
I sure hope he's just having an off day; we all all have them and even sick kitties are entitled to a couple. Good luck with the appetite stimulant; maybe he'll perk up and start eating a bit more.

Hi Kelly
Lets call this an off day for Logan. He has been eating quite a lot lately so maybe
he got himself a bit full??
You never can tell with these kitties.

Maybe he is waiting for Mama to come home from work and get some extra loving.
We will check in later and see how its going.
Sending some eating and feel good vines to that sweet boy.

Come on down from there, Logan. Would like to see you eat more, please.

So, this "R", you don't need a prescription, right? Where do you get it and what's the official name? I'm just curious...keeping this in my back pocket, so to speak, for Mr. Logan.
R can usually be purchased over the counter in the US, without a prescription (if you can do that in PA, I'm guessing you can in NC, too). I bought ours at Walmart, so it's the Relion brand of Novolin R. It's my understanding that it's not fragile, and lasts a long time.

Disclaimer: Not to be used lightly, potent stuff. (I know you know this, but still makes me nervous when *I* use it.) I know someone suggested it recently for helping Logan through this rough patch.

Re: 2/23 Logan PMPS 349

Gave Logan the appetite stimulant at PMPS...since then he's eaten 3 cans of FF! I wish that stuff was a little more even with its effects! I have a feeling I'll get woken up a few times tonight!

Did we overdo the eating vines Kelly? :-D
My goodness, 3 cans of FF.
Poor baby was hungry.
Hope he settles down for the night.

That appy stimulant has a very strong effect the first day. It's a 3 day drug. The second day is a good, normal day. And the third day is pretty hit or miss...it definitely fizzes out. I'm going to ask if we can try something a little less extreme!

He's happy right now. He's lying on DH2B's chest and purring...he NEVER does that!

True, I had a lapse of memory for a bit.
Which one are you giving him? Mirtazpine? I know that one is every 3 days.
I used it for Max to get him back on track with his fatty liver.
Worked well for us, thank goodness.
