yesterday's drama

Ok so we made it through the night. I want to thank everyone who helped us through our huge dive last night especially Christie for staying up with me and walking me through it. Christie my mom thanks you too, she was kind of freaking out this morning when I told her her about last night, LOL! We started with 307 this morning and
I have one class then off to Walmart for more strips, FF and some med carb food and some HC food. If you guys think of anything else for my shopping list, fell free to add. Sienne I am taking your advice and stocking up on strips! Thanks again and I am getting the impression that what happened last night is normal? and we just manage it like you guys said with food and strips? Have a great day LL! see you in a bit!

A bit of a bounce this morning, but no worries.. I suspect Java will clear that in no time.

It's amazing how abnormal "normal" can look, no? But this is what we do to help our kitties stay as healthy as possible.... monitor closely and manage the curve with testing and feeding to keep them safe! Willie is seeing streaks of low numbers for the first time since diagnosis, so I'm suddenly feeling much more like I was 2 months ago! LOL

You did great last night, and I was grateful for some company! :) Though, by the end of the night, Willie was so over all the testing, he had shunned me... sat in front of me on the sofa chaise with his back turned, refusing to acknowledge my existence, no matter how much I told him how pretty he was! LOL

Hope you enjoy your nap today... I'm jealous! If Willie pulls another "lets hang out around 50" spell tonight, he may just get a can of gravy! This bean needs some sleep!!!

Might be normal for Java, or an adjustment to the dose or liver training school. Others explain it much better : )

Hope he clears the bounce quickly for you.

Thanks everybody! It was a good learning experience. I am stocked up on strips and food. Like the Girl Scouts always said, Be Prepared! I keep telling my mom and grandma how much information I am getting from you all and how helpful everyone is. They are very grateful that someone is always there to help out so thanks from a couple old ladies to all of you! Have a good night and yes the nap was great!

So I guess Java knows I am a little tired tonight and need a little sleep. I take it this is liver training? still trying to learn all the ins and outs. Have a great night LL!

btw I just got the ketone strips today but I haven't tested for that yet. When do you test and under what circumstances or is it just a routine thing?

wow...what a run java has had...

i'll let someone else advise on the ketone testing...so far it hasn't been an issue for Binks.

I do have the Breeze litterbox, and Ann (Tess) taught me to not use the pads so ketone testing is...well..a breeze!
