Jack got an increase last night and so far is refusing to accept that he is getting more insulin now. He usually responds pretty quick to an increase, so I am starting to think we might be headed back towards the dose he was on before nosediving for a week. I hope we can find some middle ground as it would be a little disheartening to see him right back at 30u+ after the recent PJ parties and string of greens.
Really resisted the urge to give a little R, but if the trend continues he might start getting a little bit to try to banish these ugly reds. I had been holding off on the R with his recent unpredictability, but the past few days he is is showing that the current dose and recent increase aren't quite enough yet. Hoping for the old NDW, but that hasn't been his style in the past. For now, happy he is eating and feeling pretty good(not as good with the high #s) and we will work on getting him back under the renal threshold.
