WCR: Buzz is doing great today. She found a spot in the sun early in the day and pretty much hasn't moved from there except when I tested her. Her brother is thrilled that she gave up her spot in front of the heat register, because now he can stretch out and claim it all for himself.

Like last night, today's dose was 0.5u minus 2 drops. I experimented some with an old syringe and water, as was suggested, but I still need to get a magnifying glass and some food coloring. Perhaps I'm just a dunce, but I don't feel like the experimenting made dosing any clearer for me. I guess as long as I am consistent with the dose, it doesn't matter what it really is, right? I will get that other stuff and try to nail it down a little more. So far she is doing well on this dose, though, at least today.

Re: 2/23 Buzz AMPS: 330, +5: 107

ah fine measuring, vets wonder how it can be done and no - it can't be done

I loved fine dosing @-) lol!!

The practicing worked for me, and I wear glasses and have very bad eyesight..I actually found it easier to take my glasses off and eyeball it.

Buzz looking nice at +5 today!

At least the reason behind fine dosing is good: kitty needs less insulin! :)

+8: 162
Not as good as +5, but still solidly blue and considering AMPS, I will take it with no complaints. :)

Sarah,

This morning may have been rebound from yesterday AM's lows. Nice to see Buzz get back into the nice numbahs!

With respect to dosing...it really doesn't matter what exactly the dose is provided it's less than the last one and that you are consistent... as best as a human can be! :?

For sake of simplicity - and I don't claim to be the SS police - could you give the dose an official number.... for example 0.5-1 drop may be 0.4; and 0.5-2 drops may be 0.3 --> scientifically, it's probably not accurate, but mentally, it's simpler... what do you think?

Paige- Thanks for stopping by even on your most exciting day! :) Has Webber passed out from niptinis and tunaritas?

Helene- Thanks for the input on dosing. :) I will also fix my SS to what you suggested. That will probably make it much easier.

Hehe. Yes Webber is passed out next to me on the bed.

Look at that bootieful PMPS
