Yesterday's Condo: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=7114

Stubborn kitty. Back up high again this morning. He might have dropped low again last night for all I know, cause when I went in and laid on the bed to give him some loves last night I fell sound asleep (lights on, tv on, glasses on...etc etc.) and didn't get anything post +2. Sigh... Negative for ketones this morning (0.6 on blood meter). Bash seems fine other than hating my guts when I give him the AB. Eating and drinking well.

sorry about Bashful on the 4th floor... this might be the high before the action.... just maybe. TOnight will be 72 hours since the last action.... OR.... I see that your insulin is 37 days old... might be time for a new one... OR.... might be the ABs.... I donno..

All that and I'm not very helpful am I? :roll:

I don't know how much fortiflora to give.... didn't I tell you that I wasn't helpful? You may want to add the word fortiflora to your subject line to draw some attention.

Hello Theresa, I heard you were wondering how much fortiflora to give. You can sprinkle a packet per day. My cats liked it better when i sprinkled the fortiflora on top of the food, instead of mixing it in.

(you can also use canned pumpkin, i think. not pumpkin pie filling, but canned pumpkin).

Thanks Cyn..that's what I have been giving him (1/2 in a.m. - 1/2 in p.m.), so I was hoping that was right. It's working well so far, no diarhhea.

I was wondering about the viability of my vial, which is why I counted how many days it had been. I did a slight dosecrease tonight to 2.0 units (the vet reviewed my SS and recommended this also). He did have a bit of a drop tonight and was at 216 at +4.5, so we'll see how he does over the next few days. If I don't see any consistent action by this weekend, I'll go get the new lantus and I'm going to get the pens or cartridges this time, since I've only used about a third of the 10 ml. vial so far and that would be such a huge waste of money.

WCR: Eating, drinking and all the 5 P's (other than trying to avoid me and the AB's..LOL). But he's come around about an hour post AB and is giving me loves again. I'll be glad when I'm done with this part and he's not so upset with me.
