Wow, another nice cycle - two in a row! We would like to see better appy in the AM, with active feeding we are managing to get enough in for shot time. He is completely off one of only two wet foods he will eat. :? We're not sure if they changed the formula or what, but he thinks we are trying to poison him. Both kitties are napping on their heating pads, the snow is melting and the sky is bright blue. All in all, a good day. cat_pet_icon

@Marje & Gracie - thanks for stopping in last night. The night duty bean is still home sick, so not too perky at PJ parties these days. Liz is definitely looking forward to seeing the gang when she is in Tucson. She is already mulling over ideas to get Gracie to warm up to her more.

@Wendy & Neko - cayenne - great idea! Zener is enjoying sliding in our snowy weather.

@Deborah & Shasta - and Z-man is still blue and green this cycle too! I'll have to check on Shasta in a few minutes.

@julie & punkin - thanks for stopping in to see the mighty Z! We are all celebrating the good news for punkin. party_cat We were just about "sadded out" lately in LL. Blue skies here today, so no more snow....for now.

Night duty bean still home with the creeping crud, and starting to get tired of laying around doing not much of anything. That's a good sign.

Happy Friday LL!

Hi Anne

What a great run for the Z-Man
:YMSIGH: about the food... Yesterday's delicacy is today's _____.. very frustrating.

well, apart from the appy and the need for "active feeding" (  love that phrase) Z-man is looking great lately. keep it up Z! :thumbup Feel better soon vines to Liz, I'm jealous that she gets to see Gracie and Tobes and Gus!

Thank you for youk kind words, yesterday. It helps to have friends like you all here in LL.

Nice green Zener! He is showing you some very nice numbers these days. Healing vines for Liz. Hopefully she is back to 100% soon. How fun on the trip to Tucson. Have a great day!!

That's a groovy green slide Mr Z's got goin on today! Hope Liz gets to feeling better soon and Zener's appy is happy!

Re: 2/22 Zener AMPS 166;+1.5 154;+3 125;+5.5 73

Wow, Zener, you are really rockin today. Darn, Mags just got out of her green kini and is missing Zener. I've had a similar incident happen here lately where Mags just stopped eating her regular low phosphorus fuds where before it was fine. I wonder what happpens. With the FF a few years ago it was known they changed the formula, so we knew the reason for our kitties rejecting the fuds.
Anne, hope you feel better and sending healing vines. I would love to see a pic of the Zener stepladder to the bed.
Detective Poo, thanks for checking in on Mags today.

Appy has improved and surfing the  What more can beans want? ;-)

@Bruce & Simon - love the fill in the blank! And so very true. We just have so few choices, frustration it is. Thanks for the chuckle, much appreciated!

@Ann & Tess - can't take credit for the active feeding phrase, read it on the assisted feeding yahoo group. Liz gets to see the Tucson posse, but I'm the one with the creeping crud. And I'm sick of being sick. We agree, we couldn't be doing this without our LL family and friends!

@Melissa & Mr T - greener Zener! Have you shoveled all your snow yet?

@Tara & Buster - Zener loves it that you think he's groovy!

@Ann & Maggie - Z is very disappointed to miss Ms Mags in her green kini. We wondered if Purina has changed the pro plan urinary food formula. He used to eat it with gusto and now looks at it like it is poison. We've tried several cans from the current case and get the same reaction. We have tried almost every food possible, that is medium carb with low to medium phosphorus and have no luck. Drat. I've made a few pictures of the box steps and will put up the link soon. NO handy skills required, other than fastening a bungie cord. ;-)

Back to my sick bed (well, more accurately, the lazy boy  )

Here is the link to photographs of Zener's steps and his pee palace. All made for his cerebellar hypoplasia, but works well for his gentleman cat years and FD.

Re: 2/22 Zener PMPS 82

Woohoo!! The Z-man is back! Very nice slide today.

Love the photos of Zener's assisted living props - cute cat pillow! :-D

I've heard people swear by hot lemon with cayenne or tabasco to help chase away a cold.

Re: 2/22 Zener PMPS 82

What a gorgeous day!!! Very nice! Love the steps and pee palace. When looking at the first pic of the steps...and the bed...I thought "surely the bed is not the 'pee palace'"

Sorry to hear you are still sick. While I'm sure hot lemon with cayenne will help, I'm more the warm whiskey and honey type....I highly recommend it. ;-)

Liz has high hopes!! She'll have to spend the night to get Gracie to warm up to her.

Feel better.

Re: 2/22 Zener PMPS 82

Nice numbers for Zener today. That's neat how you made the steps and pee palace. Anne I hope you get better soon.

Re: 2/22 Zener PMPS 82;+2 160;+4 93

ohmygod_smile into the lagoon three cycles in a row! Greener Zener is liking this dose this time around.

@Wendy & Neko - greener Zener has made a return. Glad you like his assistive devices! With an engineer and a PT for beans, we can work it out!

@Marje - :o The bed better NOT be a pee palace! Ah, the gauntlet has been tossed, the inner German is engaged...look out Gracie, Liz may move in for a week.

@carla - thanks for your kind words on our creations! We had a long time to experiment with options for our guy since he was born with cerebellar hypoplasia and has never been able to jump or climb. He also has had problems squatting in a LB even before FD and we never could find a commercially made box that worked, so voila - the pee palace was created! We make new ones about once a year, the plastic starts to get difficult to get the odors out. Thank goodness the storage boxes we use are not expensive!

Well, drat. I must have jinxed Liz by writing in today's condo it was me who was sick and not her. I am a bit perkier today though still sound like a frog.
Liz has a bit of a sore throat and stuffy ears tonight. nailbite_smile Thanks for all the cold remedies, we may be trying some of them for Liz tomorrow. nailbite_smile
