103 ambg oh happy day, :-D :-D :-D
i only fed ff 3% yesterday (turkey and giblet) think that might make a difference
he's not officially green but close enough, i also might not be here for a +3 or +4 so feel better if I have to miss a test, since he's under 130. Also didn't try the new food, cause I won't be here to see if he reacts to it. always so nervous nailbite_smile

can only hope other kitties and kitties parents have a good start to the day as well. exchanging vines to you all.

Yesterday was day 14 but the expers are holding off for otj party, cause he's not really as low as they'd like. I'm patient so again ruben leads the way.

I have to agree with the experts on holding off on the OTJ party. Ruben's getting there, but not quite there yet. I think you'll find that the FF Turkey & Giblets flavor will make a bit of difference. How much of a difference is dependent upon Ruben's system. Just remember, ECID (every cat is different), and will react differently to foods, insulin amounts, etc. Good luck, and keep up the excellent work! :-D

i was only gone for about 5 hrs (longest I've been away from ruben in a month) you would have thought it was like we hadn't seen each other in years. I could hear the chariots of fire music playing in my head as we ran to greet each other in the hall way.. :lol: :lol: :lol: oh i freakin love him. no other being makes me as happy as he does. so stinkin cute. oh gonna go squeeze him again bcatrun_gif

few questions...
when you change meter strips is there much variance in the #'s?
Also what timed feeders do you guys reccomend?
can you use them w/ 2 cats?
they work with wet food?<seems weird?
what schedule should I put Ruben on when I go back to work full time?
Right now I put food down at ambg- he free feeds til +9 when I give him 1-2tbsp fresh, then pull up till pmbg and repeat...open to advise, want the :mrgreen: but happy he's been under 150 for a while

We are thinking if Sam continues to do well tomorrow, that we should have an OTJ party on Sunday!

Do you mean same meter but different strips? If so, I've never noticed a difference.

I'm not sure which feeder that most people recommend but two cats can use it. I think it would be important that he get the +9 meal. Then you could just set it up to open at other times during the day. You might have to get a feeder for each cat. I think one of the ones some people use has five compartments.

Hey, Sam - We only feed wet food and have the PetSafe 5 meal auto-feeder, one for each kitty. There is one open space with room to program in 4 more meal times. Bought ours from Amazon.

I'm not an expert as I just started using automatic feeders but I have the same one, Petsafe 5 meal, I got it at Petsmart and I use all wet food. I freeze later in the day meals mixed with water into ice cubes so they are fresher later in the day.

If not sorry, I can take it off...I've bought and returned two other kinds, looked at so many and this one is awesome because it is digital, you can set the exact time! The others I tried use the dial timer which I didn't like so much but some people love and it works good for them.

Since the AlphaTrak reads about 30 points higher than a human meter, anything under 130 is green. :mrgreen:

My cat Tig fell off the wagon after three months OTJ and I think I wasn't aggressive enough at that point

what do you mean, if ruben goes off i want to be aggressive too if it means he has a better chance staying otj?
also your such a great service in the health forum. I remember how you made me feel and how helpfull you were when i was to grieve strinkin to even navigate through here. a big heartfelt thank you for what you do.
