Good Morning LL! Yesterday was vet day for Miss Muffin, so she had to skip breffis, which didn't seem to bother her. I should have realized then that there were going to be appy issues. She'll eat other fuds, like turkey, but still isn't interested in her cat fuds. So this morning I gave her some boiled chicken. I'll keep watching her and feeding her turkey and chicken if that's all she'll eat. Waiting to hear results of specfPL today.

This cold or whatever it is that I have just keeps on giving...yesterday I felt pretty good, but today not so much. And now my throat is scratchy and a little sore... :YMSIGH:

Cleetus remains dry this morning, so I'm really hoping whatever was bothering him is over. DS said yesterday he saw Oscar with drool hanging off his face. I haven't seen him drooling yet, but his tail has been wet every time I petted him, like he was sleeping curled up and drooled on it. His fur seems a bit not quite right as well. Oscar is short haired, so I just realized it may be harder to tell with him, since it won't necessarily be all down his front. I'll see what the vet says about it, and in the meantime, put him on the same bland diet.

Re: 2/22 Muffin amps 156

Muffin has such pretty numbers on the one drop! Won't you come down to NO drops, Miss Muffin? Sorry you have a bug, Anne. Soup is on the menu! Have great day!

Re: 2/22 Muffin amps 156

Hi Anne,
Sorry your feeling under the weather...pro-biotics, best fighter for cold prevention. Guess Muffin
knows how to get Mommy to give her home cooked meals :-D
Have a good day Ann and feel better. Stay warm.

Sending good appy vines for miss Muffin and no drooling vine for Cleetus and Oscar. for the bean?? Chicken soup vines!!! ;-) Take care of yourself a well as you take care of the kittehs!

Thank you for your kind words in Tess's condo yesterday. It means so much to feel the sympathy of my friends here.

+2.5 97. Nice to see her in green, even tho I know it's due to lack of fuds. SpecfPL came back at 5.6. This dr wants to give a cerenia injection - says it should help with the inflammation. I've never been offered this before, and I thought it was to help vomiting, which Muffin is not doing, but we will give it a try. Leaving in a few mins to get that. Dr suggested continue with the boiled chicken and give her some rice, too. I said   I can't give her rice! She said to give a little bit, as Muffin needs a few carbs. Haven't yet decided whether I'll take that advice or not. Muffin would probably be very pleased. She's just laying on her chair by the heater, looking like she's not feeling all that hot, and still hasn't touched breffis. When we get home from vet, I'll give some bupe as well.

Thank you Tara, Shelly, and Ann for all your well wishes, advice, and vines.

Awwww! Muffs! Not again! We'll be there when you get back from the vetty to work the KTSS magic on your vetty smell! Think you'll feel p to going on the train? You can stay inside and relax w/ Maui! -- Tess

That's interesting about the Cerenia. It sure helps Zener with his appy issues, probably helps him with inflamation. Healing vines to Muffin. I hope she's back on track soon. No drool vines for the other kitties. I hope it's a just a little blip for them.

Some cats are just ptitis prone. My Shadoe had frequent flares, and Oliver was often in that grey area around 5.

What helped Shadoe a great deal in the beginning was to give her pepcid BID, 1/4tab 2.5mg about 30min before her am and pm shot meals... it helped to settle any upset stomach by the time it was eating time. The pepcid worked quite well for many months, but when I switched to a new vet, he suggested giving her B12 shots weekly as it helped a great deal with inflammation.

Long story short.... she had one minor flare after I started giving her weekly shots at home of 25u B12. It worked for her.

Before the shots, I always kept subQ fluids on hand plus a good stock of bupe. Shadoe got her pepcid, but if she seemed a bit 'off' her food, I'd check her for hydration and maybe give her 50ml plus a small bit of bupe. Also, I could tell a bad flare because she growled when her sides were touched. After hydration and bupe for a couple days, she was back to normal again.

Ask your vet about starting B12 shots; B12 has many benefits.

Your poor sweetie Muffin. I hope she feels better very soon.
And take care of yourself, too. Sorry you're feeling under the weather again.
Please let me know if you need anything.

I'm sorry to hear Muffin has Pancreatitis again. I hope she gets over it quickly and the boys get over whatever is causing the drooling. I hope you feel better soon too Anne.

Anne

I'm also sorry to hear Muffin has ptitis again. Poor baby!!! I hope the cerenia will help her and she'll start feeling better soon.

I also hope the boys are fine and Oscar isn't getting whatever was bothering Cletus. I think your house sounds more like a CALF (cat assisted living facility) than mine does

Thinking of you. Healing vines to Muffin from her best friend Gracie. KTSS on the way!

Anne, I too am sorry to hear Muffin has pancreatitis again. Poor baby.
Sending lots of healing vines to her.

I'm sorry you're feeling crummy too.

Hi Anne - oh no... so sorry Muffin is going though this again. Sending be better vines soon for her. When Mannie had his bout with that we gave B12 injections weekly. He still gets them. It seemed to help him. Interesting on the rice. I know with Mannie I fed anything(cat fuds/carb content) he would eat just to get fuds in him. He simply did not want food at all. Never did the rice thing though. well, I wish you luck - hope she gets over this flare soon.

Be well little one!

And super vines for you - take care, and I hope you feel better soon.

Poor Muffin. I'm so sorry she has p-titus again. You do know her so well though. Sending bucket loads of healing vines your way for both the bean and all the fur kids.
