road trip report from yesterday: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=7044

He did not eat very much overnight either nailbite_smile I do not like this! That means that from 7:30am on Sunday until 7:30am today, he ate about 1/2 can of EVO! Definately not enough! Thankfully, he seems to be very interested in his breakfast this morning! I will double check to see how much he has eaten before I rush off to work.....I may open a can of LC Fancy Feast for him to have today as well.

As for his LB action.....I cleaned out a few pieces of firm poo & a couple pee clumps this morning. So even though not much went in yesterday, at least something is coming out!

I will do a spot check on him when I get home from work this afternoon & see how he is doing.

He is still not eating. I guess that he didn't even eat 1/4 can EVO today. He also hasn't been into his LB since I cleared it out this morning. I picked up more SQ fluids for him & gave him approx 250 mls today. I have put out 1/2 can Friskies Chef Dinner for him.....perhaps he is tired of either eating chicken or eating EVO! Not sure what I should try next!

Spoke with the vet again this afternoon. She is not against me giving B12 shots to Morris, but if we are going to do that, then she wants to run some baseline labs ($100-$125) before we start & repeat them again in about 6 weeks time to see if the B12 is helping or not. She says I can think about it & get back to her when I have made my decision.

come on Morris, eat!

Have you tried sprinkling chicken dust on the food, or warming it slightly, or mixing in some tuna juice or chicken broth?

FWIW, my guys are not fans of EVO. They don't really like Wellness either. So much for the high priced spreads. Have you thought about an appetite stimulant? FortiFlora is appealing to many kitties. Otherwise, what about a prescription appetite stimulant?

Of course, there are all those things that Libby suggested, too.

I fed him 1/2 can Friskies Chef Dinner at insulin time at 7:30pm, then came upstairs to post here. When I returned downstairs around 8pm, he had licked his bowl clean & was looking for more food!!!!! I put the other 1/2 can in his dish & he proceeded to eat about 1/2 of that before taking a break. There has still not been any LB action since before 7:30am today.

Normally, Morris quite likes his EVO!

Where do I find that at? Would be good to have on hand just in case he stops eating again!
