Morning ~O) it looks like Mags had a nice surf last night. She ate most of her overnight fuds and woke me up on time this morning. I just had a 30 minute btd with her, nice. Now I feel more rested. Four P's in place. I don't think any prezzies today, Detective Poo, unless she surprises us. It seems like it's every other day and then next time every third day. Once in a while we get two days in a row.

I still haven't found any steps, so I'm awakened several times during the night asking to be picked up onto the bed. I looked at some yesterday at Petco made out of plastic and easy to assemble, but they were meant for a dog, and it looked like the carpet part would slide around on the plastic. I haven't checked PetsMart yet.

Nice blue Maggie! So nice of her to snuggle with you. Good girl. I'm glad you got more rest as well.

Bummer on the steps. I hope you find some soon that work and that Maggie will use them. Have a great day Ann!

Detective Poo here, checking in. Well, I'm a little surprised but she does wait for that 3rd day sometimes. Sending poo vines, just in case she needs a little help. Zener does well with boxes covered with a rug. We use bungee cords to hold the rugs in place. Not very elegant but it does work. :lol: :lol: Happy Friday!

Lovely surf and nice start for today! Maggie is such a sweet girl.

Have you checked Drs Foster and Smith for steps? I've never look at their steps, but I would imagine they've got a nice selection. I actually have gotten a couple kitty condos from them, and they are well built.

Oh Green Lagoon for Mags! :mrgreen: Let's see how long we can get her to stay! Thanks on all the visits. I took a short walk, but it's a little too chilly for me, only 42 degrees! It should warm up later.

Hi Melissa, the snuggles are nice. She left me a small space on the side of the bed while she curled up in the middle of the bed on her pillow. :lol:

Lisa, many thanks on the links. I was looking under cat steps, but the doggie steps look really suitable. The pet stores here didn't have too many I though were suitable.

Thanks Detective Poo on the vines as she can use a lot of help. Glad your steps are working for Zener. I wish I were more of a handiman.

Good luck finding some stairs. We just use a footstool - it's about 1/2 the height of the bed, I just put some non-skid feet on it.

Nice move to the Lagoon Maggie. Keep on surfing that green water today. Good luck, Ann, on your quest to find the right steeps for Maggie. You are correct about the carpet cover over the plastic steps slipping. We had a set. We use them now in front of the LB. they walk up and down them there so the carpet doesn't shift like it did went they ran or hopped up them to get on the bed. In lieu of steps we put a cedar chest with a large folded blanket on it at the foot of the bed. The cats love it and it works great. Hope you find something so you can sleep uninterrupted.

No handiness needed for our steps really. We made them for Zener early in life because of his cerebellar hypoplasia. We got several sizes of plastic "under the bed" storage containers and lined them up like steps. And covered the tops with small throw rugs (for digging in claws) and held them on with bungie cords. And, you can use the boxes for storing things you don't really need to get to! We can send you a picture if that would help!

Hi Bruce, thanks on Mags. That's a neat idea with the footstool for climbing onto the bed.

Hi John, I could see the problem on the plastic steps. It was nice Petco had one assembled, and I could see how the carpet would slip and slide off the plastic. This one was online at Petco, and the reviews stated the same problem.
Your cedar chest is a neat idea. It's neat hearing how everyone makes due with what they have in their homes.

Hi Barb & Checkers, oh :lol: :lol: on when it reaches 40 degrees here, you're going for a walk :lol: It's now 57 degrees and feels much better. I grew up in PA, too, and remember the cold.
I guess Mags is out of her teeny kini. I hope tonight she reaches the Lagoon again.

Hi Anne, yes would love to see a pic of your stairs. That's a neat idea how you made the steps from containers. I'm so glad it helps Zener climb onto the bed/
