t one point, we tried NJ x 2 , so that is what we did this morning since he was a 270. LT doesn’t usually bounce after lows, though anything is possible with a cat. I also realize that one try at a new dose doesn’t tell all, but at age 16, we really want to keep in under the 200 mark if possible. We don’t want to go back to th old dose since it’s game d to guesstimate it and really did take him too low.

Sure wish your boy well.
Suzanne, could it be a hairball causing LT's trouble? I know you've given him some Vet's Best Hairball control. Or could he have snuck some kibble again?
It's wonderful to see you, but we (Tina and I) want LT feeling good. Always loved the handsome Long Tail boy:bighug: It can be such a balancing act when our kitties are seniors. Thankfully, the only out of remission scares we have had, have been due to hairballs.
I make sure to keep up with the EZ Yolk egg powder (Food Fur Life), SEB, and Fish oil to keep it all moving smoothly.

How is LT in general?

Thanks for checking on us ! LT is doing great in general. I don’t think he got in to anything overnight. I just think one NJ isn’t enough for him. He was 180ish last night at +3 which is pretty high for him.

He gets the zoomies every morning which is quite entertaining. The hairball tablets have a little slippery elm in them that I’m hoping will sooth his digestive system a bit.

Im glad to hear that your beautiful girl is doing so well in remission. It does make life easier when they are OTJ. Maybe one day we will get there again. If not, we’ll have to learn how to travel and use our smallish camping trailer with a cat and 60 pound Aussie drooler.

It's great to hear LT is doing well! Tina is almost 16 . . . and she went OTJ right after LT - how the time flies!
I love the ingredients in the Vet's Best hairball tablets, and they work well for a hairball prone civvie.
You zoom LT!
With your tiny dose, I hope you get your boy back into remission. Seems like a fair bet anyway.
Oh, and it makes me smile thinking of your young Aussie; gosh I've loved those dogs for years. Still have a good buddy I pet sit for who is now 14. (And Bless your diabetic drooler, lovely GA, Tucker. He has to be playing across the bridge with lots of buds.)

Just for fun, look at Tina's SS from the beginning of November 2019 and on, when I switched from the AT to a human meter. I know you had a successful ride to OTJ, but for me, Tina's SS tells a lot. Not sure if it helps now;)

Get your pretty long tail back to green (not lime) Mr. LT:D

Suzanne, your date yesterday is the same as Saturday - you can get help here with you SS - @Bandit's Mom can help you by putting all the dates in the date column for you if you like.

What is NJ x 2 ? It looks like LT needs some insulin...hope you can go back to using the drop that he was getting before.
