ok, thanks! would it hurt to do 1.25 tonight, then switch to 1.5 tomorrow? he looks rough. hard to explain. afraid hes feeling badly.
 
It's really not going to matter one way or the other. Since because Lantus is a depot insulin the shot you give tonight really doesn't come into play until tomorrow. That's where an in & out insulin like N and a depot insulin like Lantus differ. N you shoot it goes to work immediately..Lantus has to go in form crystals under the skin and then those crystals need to dissolve before the insulin becomes useable by Larry's body to lower his blood sugar.

If you're gonna raise tonight might as well just go all the way up to the 1.5u but as always you hold the syringe. Whatever you are the most comfortable with. If 1.25u tonight is easier on the nerves then go for it. But honestly it is going to make a lot of difference. IMHO

ok. i am just still a little confused bc some ppl had said it takes a week? or 5 days? or maybe that was if ur making progress?
anyway, i have something like 1.25 bc this isnt an exact science for me yet. i ended up between the 1 and 1.5 mark so gonna use it.
