Last Night's Condo

Lookee here! Sun's still up (at least in CA) and I'm posting Cinco's condo! Amazing. Daytona 500 just ended - somewhat disappointing but at least my guy got a good finish and no one got hurt. Could have been worse.

Cinco was a very considerate kitty and didn't distract me from the race. Not that I would have minded, since he and the TV are in the same room. Nothing going on tonight, Cinco, so feel free to need my attention all evening! The little stinker got both front legs out of his shirt last night. I told him if he does it again, the collar goes back on. He hasn't done it again, yet, but he got back at me by pooping on the carpet in the family room! Don't know what that was about. DH saw it and cleaned it up

Appies were good for all kitties today - Minka's even had a couple of snacks. :):):) Not much else going on here. That's kinda nice, but I know it won't last long! I have to run out and look for Pepcid that's 10 mg. I tried yesterday and could only find 20 mg. I can get more at UCD, but I don't go until Tuesday and I don't have enough to last me that long, with two cats on it. When I find it, I will stock up and write myself a note about WHERE I found it, as I don't recall where I got it last time.

Hope everyone is having a good Sunday.

Sending healing vines to all in need and hugs to all their beans. :bighug: Prayers continue for Amy's DF, Lyresa's DF, DH and DGD, Lisa's DF, Chris' DM and Elise's DM. Thinking of Paula and sending positive vines her way.

So that's why China's been spending the day on shore....she wanted to get the latest gossip from her good friend, Cinco!!

Great to hear everybody had good appies today!!

Wonder what Cinco and China have up their sleeves for tonight? You know how they can be when they get together to plan!!...LOL

Yay for happy appies all around! Boo for carpet poop....maybe Cinco was stressed about being half-in/half-out of his t-shirt.

I get Trix's 10mg famotidine at Walmart. I hate Walmart with a passion, but they do have the best price on it by far. My local Rite Aid also carries the 10mg stuff, but not nearly as cheap as Walmart.

Have a great evening, Tricia! Keep eating, kitties!

Thanks for stopping by, Chris, Amy, Serryn, Elise, Carla and Ella.

Please tell me WHAT I was thinking when I said this:

Not much else going on here.

without saying "anti jinx"???!!!:facepalm::banghead:

Not long after I posted, I went up to offer Sasha more food. She wasn't enthused, but ate a little, but 5 minutes later she threw it all up! I gave her some Cerenia and she spent the rest of the day curled in a little ball on the bed. She looked at her dinner like it was scary and smacked her lips, so I gave her some Ondansetron. Ten minutes later she half heartedly took a few licks of food, but I could tell she still didn't feel well so I just set it down a few feet from here, where she could see it but not smell it. I'm glad she's going to UCD on Tuesday, but I wish it was tomorrow. :nailbiting:

I wonder if the problem was the food. She and Cinco both had Wellness Turkey, and after I got Sasha taken care of from the vomiting episode, I scooped the boxes and found that Cinco had thrown up in and next to his lb! Perhaps this also has something to do with his pooping on the floor - that was probably after he threw up, which we didn't hear because the race was on nice and loud. Maybe I got a bad can of Wellness Turkey? Needless to say, I threw the rest of it out. He's been better the rest of the day, and ate his dinner without hesitation, so we'll see how he does tonight. Hopefully he and China will take their rendezvous to the lagoon.

I just can't win, can I?

Actually one good thing did happen today - I found some 10 mg pepcid at the first place I looked (Amy, I tried a couple of Walmarts yesterday and the pharmacist at one told me they don't even make 10mg! I assured him he was wrong, but those Walmarts didn't have it). I went to the Rite Aid near my house, and they had it on BOGO free! So I got two 180 tablet packages for around $20. That should last me a while.

Well, time to go start dinner - leftover chicken cacciatore and angel hair pasta. Easy for me! I'm so glad my DH doesn't mind leftovers. :)

Slidin' was fun today Cinco, what's the plan for tonight? ~Neko

Bummer on the bad food and it's side effects. :arghh: Paws crossed things stay where they are supposed to rest of the night.

Aw, I was feeling so good til I got to your 2nd post and the barfing!:oops::oops: Poor Sasha, I am not sure about Ondansetron but for Tiger, Cerenia takes about 2 hours to really kick in and get rid of the nausea and hopefully prevent vomiting. I hope she and Cinco feel better now and can eat! :bighug: RE: the Wellness, I know lots of people are getting rid of their Wellness foods. Personally, I only ever watched Tiger vomit after eating from one of those tall cans of Wellness Turkey, never from the small cans but to be fair, this was right before her first Pancreatitis episode, so it could have been just that and not the canned food.

Once again, I have brought this on myself.
Nothing going on tonight, Cinco, so feel free to need my attention all evening!

We are having a PJ party. 6% doesn't seem to be bringing him up, so I just broke out some 12%. I know, a big jump, but I really don't want to make this an all-nighter.

@Tiger and Ruth, it was a 3 oz can of Wellness. I think we had a bad episode with another can last week, but I'm thinking it was Chicken and Herring. I don't understand it, as I fed Wellness for months with no issues at all. Now I'm scared to open a can either of those flavors, which are the only two they'll touch.

A couple hours after the Ond, I offered Sasha more food, and she didn't want it, so I made up some Slippery Elm Bark and gave her 2 ml of that (first time trying it). About 45 minutes later I opened a jar of chicken baby food and she met me at the top of the stairs! She ate 3/4 of the jar. Now, I can't swear it was the SEB, but I think I'll keep it in my arsenal. She wasn't thrilled by having it syringed into her mouth, but she didn't fight me, either. Now that she's not on any meds except the Cosequin and L-lysine, I don't have to worry about the SEB interfering. I'll just be sure to give it at least 2 hours either way of those supplements and we'll see if it helps her.

Well, the 12% seems to have helped him come up a bit. I went back to the 6% at +5 because I'm not adverse to a surf. I just don't want him too low.

I am so ashamed that I forgot to mention earlier that today is Minka's 16th birthday. We adore our beautiful Siberian princess and are so grateful that's she's here to celebrate her birthday. We are praying she'll be here to celebrate #17 with us next year, too. Happy Birthday, my precious baby girl.

Happy Birthday Sweet, beautiful, oh-so-fluffy Minka!! Love that picture...what a sweetie!!

You probably remember that I'm one who is suspicious of Wellness, for a wide variety of reasons. I hope Sasha's and Cinco's tummies have settled...poor babies.

I can't believe the Walmart pharmacists told you they don't even make 10mg famotadine! At the very least, he should have looked it up in their system. His lack of knowledge and customer service makes me fear for the people who get their prescription meds from him! I am so not a fan of Walmart at all...if it weren't the cheapest place for the famotidine (yes, Mr Pharmicist, it DOES exist, and YOUR company carries it!!!), I would never set foot in there. I'm glad Rite Aid had it for you - and at a good price! I love their BOGO sales. That's were I get Trix's lancets...I stock up when they're on sale.

Happy birthday Minka. What a beauty! I find it takes at least 30-45 minutes for ondansetron to kick in if I'm not giving it every 12 hours. When I first start it I don't even offer food until then. I hope Sasha is doing better by now.

I hope you got a good BTB this morning! At least Cinco didn't demand your attention during the race.

SEnding tummy vines, i hope it was just the food. Tess used to love Wellness, but totally snubs it now.

Happy Birthday, Minka! What a majestic, fluffy coat you have! So beautiful!

Sending good vines to the others, never fun when they're vomiting  Come to think of it, Noodle vomited her Wellness CORE turkey & liver Saturday... I wonder if the brand has changed something...
