Checkers has a vet appt. tomorrow, because of weight loss. It seems to have come on quickly. Very worried.
He eats no differently than normal, which is not enthusiastically anyway. He's never been a foodie.
Litterbox deposits same, specifically watched yesterday.
Nothing else seems unusual.
Ate normal breffis today, giving little brother dirty looks for eating his leftovers. Drank at fountain, napping now. All normal activities.

I have to figure out how to print some of SS for this vet, who doesn't have access to SS. I usually just show him my daily journal, but SS looks nicer.

Stood and watched him eat at +2, because if I walk away, so will he.

Re: 2/22 Checkers amps 317

Good morning guys ... Checkers, how come you are losing weight my man? I hope the vet visit goes well for you .. I would also like to know how to print off SS ...

Hi, Barb.. good luck at the vet today, can you just email your vet the SS link? That is how I share mine, if not you could download into an Excel file & email as an attachment. Thankfully you are on top of his weightloss, please keep us informed & I know you will.
Have a great day!

Re: 2/22 Checkers amps 317 +2/212

Hi Barb & Checks, I hope that your vet appointment goes well and that you will find out the reason for the loss of weight. How much has he lost? Anyway, all else seems like it is normal Checkers behavior.

To print your SS, hit the "File" button on the SS., go down to "Download as" and choose PDF. This will put the SS as a PDF file on your computer, and you can then print it out. Do you have the free Adobe reader on your computer? A PDF will automatically be read by the Adobe Reader program. You can find it at Adobe: http://get.adobe.com/reader/

See you later. Stay warm!

My vet said as cats get older, they tend to lose some weight, when I took my civvie there recently..
Good that you are taking him..Hope the report is Good!!--Hugs!

Re: 2/22 Checkers amps 317 +2/212

Thank you Sienne. He goes tomorrow, so I have another day to be nervous. i didn't post it yesterday because if I don't say it, then it isn't true.

Devon, I sent the SS to a PDF file, now I can print just the past month.
Up in the left corner of SS.... FILE... SEND TO..... PDF

Re: 2/22 Checkers amps 317 +2/212

Nice +2 checkers! Yellow is looking good on you, but I see where you're headed and I like it!

Barb, I do not have a send to? But if I go to download I have the PDF words there .. is that a way to do it?

Re: 2/22 Checkers amps 317 +2/212 +3/133

Thanks Nicole and Ella. I was typing as you were also.
Nicole, one vet has access to my SS, the one I'm seeing tomorrow, doesn't. It's eaier to show him the printout.

Devon, if you haven't already, yes, click on PDF and see if it's downloading it there. Mine takes a few minutes, cause of this slow computer.

Re: 2/22 Checkers amps 317 +2/212 +3/133

Morning Barb - nice day for Checkers - love the +3 :-D :-D

I hope all goes well at the vet tomorrow. I always worry at those too. I hope for a good report for Checkers. It sounds like he feels fine, but best to check it out. I usually print my SS for my vet too - at least then I know we can look at it together, that it will be looked at. And then brace myself for the usual comment: you test too much. oh sure....

Have a great day today! and try not to worry....

Re: 2/22 Checkers amps 317 +2/212 +3/133

Thanks Michelle. That's exactly why I like to print it out; I know it will be seen. This particular vet also has told me I test too much, but then he is also the one who wasted a lot of time in the beginning of this, by putting Checks on Glipizide, after refusing a dental because is bg was so high. It was PAIN!!'
We went round and round before he realized Checks needed insulin. I didn't know any better.
I should try to figure out how to link the original profile. He wasn't yet on insulin at the time I wrote that. It''s confusing I know....I WAS confused.

Who can shop faster than a mamabean who discovers a green number at an *out the door*, test?

Good luck on the vet visit. Paws crossed that all is well. At least his numbers are looking great today.

Fingers and paws crossed for a good vet visit tomorrow!!

Re: 2/22 Checkers amps 317 +2/212 +3/133 +4.5/78 +6/79

Goodness, Barb...sending much positive energy and thoughts for a really good vet visit...
I understand the concern...hoping all is well.

and WOW! Chex...what a drop!

Getting frustrated at high bounces at preshots. His daytime nadir isn't so low, that I'd be suspicious of a big drop during the night, so I don't make an effort to get up for a test.
My last test is usually +3 or +4 pmps. Nothing to make me think he'll dive.

He has lost one pound and few ounces since Jan 15. I can see it, and feel it. I love watching him walk in front of me. He's long and lean, and his muscles move gracefully when he walks. I noticed yesterday, that his waist looks smaller. Then I found he feels lighter. He doesn't like to be picked up, we play on the floor, so I didn't notice it sooner.
He doesn't act any different. He plays with Big Bird, jumping and running after it.
I went out today and bought a bunch of his favorite FF Fish and Shrimp. What a sucker.

I hope I'm just looking for trouble, but still, a pound is a lot for a cat. Isn't it?

i'm laughing at the "Speed-Shopping" ...and leaving the weight question for wiser eyes.

seems like a lot to me though, Barb...but don't take that as an informed opinion...
