Good Morning, Everyone,

I hope that Rusty will clear the vetty-visit bounce today (it always takes him a few days to clear a bounce, since he has "gradual, delayed" bounces and then has to make a "gradual, delayed" descent). He had a good night sleeping between his beans, ate all his nighttime food, charged down the stairs for his test, shot, and breakfast (1st sitting eaten), schmoozed with his mamabean, and now is chillaxin' on his little bed by the radiator. +2 degrees this morning. We had about 3 inches of new snow overnight.

Today is the much-postponed "TAX DAY". I have to get the stuff ready for our tax preparer in NYC. Our appointment is for Monday afternoon. We want to go snowshoeing tomorrow, so that leaves today. (With all of the vet-visit related stress, I completely forgot that I still have to do the taxes!!)

Thanks to everyone who visited us yesterday. Sending healing vines to all of our kitties and beans in need.

p.s. I neglected to list the other test Rusty's vet sent out: "Bronchoalveolar Lavage". So there will be three test results

Come on down Rusty. Nice slow descent is not a bad thing necessarily, but it's time now big guy. Have fun with the tax day. Luckily (or maybe not) I am OCD and an accountant so ours are already done and filed. Have a great day Ella!!

Hi Ella. Hopefully Rusty will clear his bounce today and take up his seat at the Lagoon.

Thank you for the reminder to do the taxes. Have to do mine yet also. I don't particularly like doing them but at least I don't have to drive into the big city to do them. :lol:

Have fun with taxes I did ours last week and hope all of Rustys tests come back negative cat_pet_icon :YMHUG: :YMHUG: or easily treatable

Ugh, taxes. I haven't begun to think about doing those. There's plenty of time, right? :lol: Ok Rusty, at least come and join Muffin on the blue shore, ok? The view is much better.

Hi again,

I got through the taxes. They get simpler every year! (don't know if that's good or bad :lol: ).

Rusty didn't help out with the taxes, but he enjoyed a nice, quiet day with naps in his perch over the radiator, another schmooze, a combing, and good fuds. I tried to interest him in a game, but he wasn't in the mood. I vacuumed his space in the living room (where he spends a lot of time in the winter) so that if indeed he does have allergies or asthma, he won't have to breathe in dust. (Housekeeping is not my forte!). No word yet on the test results. (There were 3 tests, not 2, as I mentioned in my initial post today.) I've been doing some research on feline asthma and have applied to join the Yahoo Feline Asthma group, just so I'll be prepared to ask the right questions if the diagnosis comes back as asthma. The description of asthmatic coughing in http://www.felineasthma.org/symptoms/index.htm exactly describes what Rusty does. I always thought he was trying to get up a hairball (but he never coughs up a hairball).

Off to visit condos. We hope that those of you in the path of the big blizzard will stay safe and warm.

Hi Ella

Gosh it's hard, waiting for test results. I've found, I never know what to pray for. An infection sounds terrible, but can be cured with ABs. Asthma sounds episodal......Is that a word?. and can be medicated. We won't allow anything else!
I just want our boy to feel good, and not coughing.

There is something to be said for gradual descents. It looks like Rusty might be getting close to the waters edge soon.

I hate waiting for test results. I hope you hear tomorrow and don't have to wait until next week. Have fun on the outing tomorrow - you deserve it after getting taxed done.
 
Hi again,
We had a good evening. Rusty and Edward played with "fat mouse". We all watched "Person of Interest". Bedtime snacks have just been served and devoured, and nighttime food is upstairs, waiting for Rusty.
