Yesterday started almost the same, did a dance around blue/green and took a rest at night before sliding down to AMPS.

We are slowly easing back to our regular shot time, which means earlier meals for cats, but not earlier enough for Neko. :lol: Normally I get up and to TFS right away, cause there's nothing more important than feeding kitties when you get up. :roll: Today I dawdled around so got lots of Neko dancing in the kitchen. Normally she doesn't move too fast, but boy can she move it when food is involved.

Neko is enjoying a civie free day today. I just dropped Theo off for his dental and ear cyst removal. I was glad to hear which vet is doing the operation, she's a quilter :cool: and has a great reputation. She only works part time, comes in for the mornings to do the operations. And this time I remembered the giant pink sticky note saying no Metacam. no Convenia. I think they normally don't do Metacam for kitties anyway but good to get that note in the file. It's so refreshing to have a practice who understand and support those concerns.

Another sunny day today, but cool. I hope I can convince Neko there's a lap in front of the TV this morning - another game on. Canada curlers ROCK!

Nice start for Neko. Sending tons of good dental vines for Theo!! It's great you got a vet you like and are comfortable with. That is so important.

Thanks for your "knee support" (get it?). I'm glad to know that sleeping "wrong" can cause aches and pains (I suspected it).

Hope Theo will be fine when he gets home and that he doesn't have to have extractions.

Nice start to the day, Neko.

Love the image of her dancing in the kitchen! When their tummies are involved, it's amazing what they can do. Harvey does laps around my legs the entire time I'm preparing the food (and with all the meds and supplements, it takes a while). I don't know how he isn't dizzy when I'm done! I call him a shark, 'cos he's circling like one! :lol:

Sending good dental vines for Theo. Hope a good cleaning is all that is needed and he comes home happy and healthy.

Oh Theo I hope your day goes well!

I think an ear cyst would hurt a lot so getting it removed must be great. :-D I bet that Vets stiches look great! :lol:

Neko is looking good today. And she gets some special attention today without the others.

How is Theo doing? I am glad that you have the doctor you are comfortable with. What are some recommended antiobiotics if needed for dental instead of convenia?

I originally wrote a post as I was about to go get Theo and then it got wiped out. :roll: Just as well, what I said was wrong. Vet tech called and told me no extractions and lumpectomy went well, vet didn't think lump needed to get analyzed. I got there, and they were short staffed today. Discharge instructions said no stitches, so I asked cause I thought they'd need some for the lump area. Front desk person went to the back to check, sure enough 3 stitches so have to go back to get them removed. As I was reviewing the bill, I notice a charge for an extraction - WTF? Front desk person goes to the back, sure enough one extraction, but no stitches. :roll: And he has to go back in a week to get it checked. I'll do a visual check in 6 days to see if I can avoid going twice, once for mouth check and once a few days later for stitch removal. No AB needed and I have bupe on hand if he looks sore.

We got home, let the cat out of the carrier, I don't think I've seen him ever run that fast up the stairs. :lol: At least he's not hiding under the bed, although a little skitty. He ate a small bit of kangaroo just fine. I added a couple drops of Rescue Remedy to see if that can calm him down. Neko barely noticed he was back. :lol: :lol: She spent most of the day in the sunny warm solarium.

@Amy, Ella, Tricia, Linda, Catherine, Liz, Rhiannon - Thanks for visiting my dancing girl and all the vetty/dental vines for Theo. So far so good. Vetty does good stitchwork, I've been to a couple quilt retreats with her before and I've seen her handiwork. :lol: Canadians are smiling today, I'm sure nothing got done in the nation for 2 hours today. :lol: I saw school kids going for a run afterwards, carrying flags.
@Catherine - Clindamycin is often what's prescribed for dentals. Convenia was developed as a skin AB and the problem with a 2 week injection is that once it's in, you can't get it out if there is a reaction. Theo has had Convenia before when he was at the shelter, but I know he takes meds just fine.

Poor Neko having to wait on her food this morning. :lol: I'm glad everything went well at the vetty with Theo. Praying for his mouth to heal quickly.

I'm glad all went well with Theo today, but man-oh-man about the confusion at the vetty...that is unnerving! I'm sure he's happy to be home and recovering now. I hope he heals up quickly! Lovely day for Neko, too! Have a great night, guys!!

It's always nice to know the vet office is organized :o :lol: . I'm glad that Theo is ok and home safe with his beans and his Neko :-D .
I'm sure Neko would have noticed he was gone...eventually ;-) . And wow, Neko, what a nice surfing in the lagoon day :mrgreen: ! None of that silly trampoline tonight, you hear?

it does sound a bit like a Laurel and Hardy skit at the vet's office! :lol: fortunately, you know and like them. So glad Theo got through it all ok with only one tooth as a casualty. ;-)

i wouldn't complain if you ever got a video of Neko doing a food dance . . . . :-D

I'm glad you're confident about your vet, 'cause her admin people would have made me really nervous! Glad Theo came through the ordeal well and was even willing to eat after an extraction. My vet always says to offer only water the first night, but Harvey absolutely won't allow that. He wants food and he wants it NOW!!

I'm so glad Theo's dental went fine, and the best of all, he is feeling well enough to eat. :-D
