2/20 Recap:
amps 262 shot 1 drop
+3 174
+7 115
pmps 134 shot 1 drop
+2 161

Good Morning LL! Not a bad amps today. I went ahead and shot even tho I have to withhold breffis. We are off to the vet in an hour for a specfPL. I'm a little worried about shooting and not feeding, but with vet stress and all, I hope everything's ok. Other than thinking I've forgotten her fuds, Muffin seems to feeling fine.

Cleetus ate a good breffis. I've stopped giving the carafate, as it doesn't seem to make any difference in his drooling and he's eating fine without it. I don't think this is coming from an upset tummy. Have a great day everyone!

Re: 2/21 Muffin amps 126 +2.5 134 Home from Vet

134 upon return from vet. Fill-in dr I think felt I was a bit premature in bringing Muffin in. She tried to tell me to wait a couple of days, to see if she came down from the hash browns incident. I told her Muffin eats people food all the time and it has never upset her stomach or taken days to clear her system, please just run a specfPL. She did a thorough exam, and it looks like Muffin will need her first dental this year. The drooler is first in line for that, however, as he was supposed to get one last year.

I was able to discuss Cleetus at length with her. She agreed that the lipase values are not good indicators of pancreatitis in cats, so I must have misunderstood her yesterday. She said amylase is, tho, and if both of those are high, they generally suspect p'titis. Cleetus had normal amylase, but because the lipase was slightly high, she just cannot absolutely rule it out. We discussed other possible causes for the drooling, and she mentioned liver shunts, which normally presents in kittens, as it's generally a congenital condition. http://www.cat-world.com.au/portosystem ... SZrJB2sh8E It could also be that he got into something outside, and it will work itself out of his system. We can do xrays to rule out foreign bodies - maybe if it got to his stomach, it could cause periodic nausea. So far this morning he is dry, so at this point I'm still waiting and watching. However if it starts again, I feel better knowing several "next steps" we can take. She asked if he ate the I/D food, I said he took a few bites, but that was it. I tried it again this morning, but Shnookie and Oscar ate it. She said to boil him some chicken and rice, so I'll go pick up some chicken for him. I guess I better get enough for everyone!

Re: 2/21 Muffin amps 126 +2.5 134 +5.25 112

+5.25 112. Another day of not much no action, and she really hasn't eaten anything all day either. I tried to feed her when we got home from the vet, but she wasn't interested. About +4 I gave her 1/2 slice of oven roasted turkey lunch meat, to try and stimulate her appy. She gobbled that up, but hasn't touched her cat fuds. I'm cooking chicken and rice for Cleetus, so I'll offer her some of the boiled chicken. When Dr examined her, she said Muffin wasn't in any pain, so I hope she'll eat later.

Hi, Anne!
I hope Muffin's appy improves. I'm glad she isn't in any pain.

Have a good evening!

Re: 2/21 Muffin pmps 58

Finally a green! I went ahead and shot this, because I'm sure this is at least partly due to the fact that she hasn't eaten today. But she's eating din din, and if I have to stay up late to monitor, so be it. I'm feeling pretty good today.

Cleetus was less than thrilled about his home-cooked dinner! What kinda cat doesn't want boiled chicken? :o I picked out the rice, and added just a small amt of cat food, and he ate it. Shnookie, on the other hand, LOVED it! Cleetus has not drooled all day, to my knowledge! I so hope whatever it was is over and done with. However, DS said Oscar was drooling this afternoon. :YMSIGH: I have yet to see it, so it must not be as bad as Cleetus - at least it stopped after it started. So I'll be watching him. Makes me wonder if maybe one of the flavors of cat food I bought had something wrong with it.

Re: 2/21 Muffin pmps 58

WHEW WEE!!!!! 58  (<- that would be my face if I saw that for a pre-shot!!!!) Hope you guys have a wonderful night! Love the fur babies reactions to "home cooking"! :-D Sleep well!

Re: 2/21 Muffin pmps 58 +1 106

I'm still not thrilled with her appy. I did give a little extra fuds, since she hasn't eaten much all day, but she's only eaten about 1/4 - 1/3 of what I served.
