Last night after I fell asleep, Gen apparently decided to go curl up in the living room, out of range of the Libre app on "his" phone (which I was keeping close in expectation of alarms and not wanting to have to scramble across the room). So he hit a lime last night around +7.75 and I slept through it (out of range = no alarms), but woke up on my own almost immediately afterwards, realized I didn't have any data for the last couple of hours, and went to find him/found out. I immediately fed him half a can of LC, and put the phone somewhere that the problem wouldn't reoccur. (The limits of range with the Libre - in the case of my small apartment, mostly having to do with how much wall/other obstruction is in between - are rather frustrating!)
So I've learned a lesson, I guess. And took a reduction this morning. And he's bouncing.
(Yesterday's AM cycle was kind of wild, also. What do you call a nadir when the cat hangs out at the low point of his cycle for roughly seven hours in a row with only tiny bumps here and there? The whole cycle was mostly nadir. Is that a thing?)
I'm full of worries about Gen's ultrasound results, the vet's recommendations, and some of the counter-recommendations and cautions that were shared with me here last night, but I'm trying to set them aside until she's available to discuss with me. I can't do anything much right now and I really need a break.
Wishing you all a delightful weekend, with safe surfs for all your sweet kitties!
