Good morning :)

Fistuk was already awake and ready for food last night at +2. I had to feed him otherwise he doesn't let go and his BG goes up. So we didn't start with green last night's PM cycle. an almost of 104.

At +8.5 DH heard Fistuk vomiting so he tested him and he was 67. He couldn't find any vomit. It was good of him to get the test at that time.

Still blue AMPS :( Was hoping for a better change. Will start thinking of raising the dose after Thursday when I'm home again (it'll be 10 cycles).

Getting an auto feeder today. Paws crossed Fistuk will use it. Any idea on training him to use it are very welcome.

Wishing you all a wonderful Wednesday :bighug:

Hi Shelly,
Does Fistuk get hairballs and then vomit? Or do you think the bg dropping low caused it?
Glad your DH caught that lower bg last night. Interesting.
Good luck with the feeder today.
Maybe try to give a small snack in place of one you’d give when you are awake and can watch him and encourage him to come to the feeder to check it out.
I was shocked how easily Ivy took to using the feeder for her snacks. Once she learned the sound of it opening she got right up and went to it and ate her snacks.
Ultimately, put the feeder near where he sleeps (if it’s for overnight) so he can hear it.

Wishing you good luck with the new feeder!
Keep us posted how he responds.
And good luck with the increase when you do it.
Wishing you a peaceful day :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Hello Shelly and Fistuk

Looks like a pretty nice cycle so far and Fistuk is hanging out on the beach.

As for the auto feeder, as soon as my boys hear it turning they run to it and eat. No training required. Hopefully it's just as easy for Fistuk.

Have a nice Wednesday

Good morning Shelly!
Fistuk has been nicely steady but I see that you want to push a bit more to get rid of blues.
If you decide to increase, best wishes for it ;)
It was so nice that your DH took care of Fistuk at +8.5! Maybe it was a little foamy liquid? I've seen that happen with my kitties.
Hope you have a lovely day today. Hope the new feeder works out well! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Hello Shelly! Bella tends to throw up when she satys too long without eating, I use the feeder to give her a snack at night.
She got used to it very fast, even too much, she cracks them right away. We had one at first that had two cups that opened with a timer, she can open this one in less than a minute. The ones that turn are more tricky, but I need to put weight on them (I use a strap plus a pack of batteries) or she can make it turn and she eats the next meal. I hope Fistuk will get used to it! Maybe try to put something he likes and can smell in it, at first, so he gets the idea.

Hi Staci :)
I'm not sure. what caused it.
Fistuk never vomits fair balls. If he does try to the only hing that comes out is a bit of liquid.
The firstlings that came into my mind was the animal biome. Though out doesn't make sense since he's had that for a few weeks now without any reaction it could still be that a new bacteria is trying to colonise his gut.
But then, DH told me that Fistuk managed to have a small bite from Prince's plate. His food is higher LC and higher fat. So there's another maybe ;)

I order the feeder and I hope it works like for everyone here :joyful:
Hope you'r having a good day :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Hi Karolina.
We're happy to be on the beach with you :D
I hope it's' going to be easy. I'm just concerned because Fistuk spends most of the day asleep and needs to be woken up for food. But paws crossed it'll be easy peasy :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Hi Kit :)
Fistuk is doing quite well indeed. And considering where we started it's a miracle :joyful: But yes, I want him to be on the green and get rid of the blues.
Letsee what he's planning over the next couple of day.
We couldn't find the liquid. It could be that he tried to get something out and didn't managed to.
I recall now that after supper he went straight to sleep and went into a deep sleep and it caught my attention. It felt like he was processing something.
Hopefully it was a one off. Today he looked very good so I'm not concerned.
Hope you're having a good day :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Bella is so funny. I can imagine her opening the feeder and getting disappointed she couldn't find a mozzarella inside :joyful:
I can't give Fistuk any new food besides the one he's eating because of the gut restoration process. But he quite likes this so hopefully it'll be easy as for everyone else's kitty here :bighug::bighug::bighug:
