Morning, LL...

Esse is doing really well right now. I thought, with the 108 last night, she'd be high 3s, maybe even 4s...but she's hanging in the low 2s right now. Of course, she could be much higher by AMPS, but it's nice to see that she's hanging in there...

WBR: not too good...found out my birth mother passed away in December. I was adopted, searched and found in my mid-20s, and didn't have such a great relationship with the birth family. But I'm still kind of hurt that it took 2.5 months to tell me; no time to send flowers, condolences, attend the funeral...just a note in the mail. So it is probably going to be a strange day for me.

BUT! The good thing was waking up to Malachi nestled into my neck, Simon in his usual spot next to me, Esse on the pillow next to me on the other side, and Oliver squooshed between Mal and Esse. Nothing like a Monday morning cuddle, you know?

Thank you, Pat...I'm heading to school in a bit. Kinda dazed feeling right about now, but hey, at least it's just lecture. And this afternoon, I am getting up to the barn...I need to see my Big Handsome. Yes, it's strange, but...it is what it is, you know? No changing it...

And doesn't Esse look great? I'm just thrilled we're not in the red...seems she didn't bounce from the 108 *or lower*, and that's a really positive sign. I hope she holds it through the day - lots of food out, and all should be well...

Esse is doing really, really well. I'm not sure, but I think that maybe delaying the increase (for her) was a good idea...she's not really having any bounces, at least so far. The last time we were on three U, she did bounce...of course, that was a long time ago, and lots of things could've changed for her since (like a more strict food regimen, better overall health, et cetera). In any event, I'm pretty happy with her numbers...she's looking good right now indeed!

Thanks, MIriam. It's appreciated. It's been a very weird day...I will be calling my birthsister in about an hour, and hopefully that conversation goes well.

As for the Essemama, well, I couldn't be happier. She's holding nicely in the low/mid 100s, and that's such a blessing indeed. Surfed most of today in the blue, no big ups or downs...that I caught, at least. The more time she can spend here, the better...so I'm just cheering my kitty on! She's such a dear...got poked, went to eat dinner, and came to me right afterwards for her shot. She knows the routine...and it doesn't phase her in the least.

YAY Esse cat...go girl! Surf as long as you can...like, say, forever!

I hope the day evens out for you - and that the conversation with your birthsister goes well. It does sound like it was a weird day. Go hug your kitties. A face full of fur somehow makes pretty much everything better.

And Esse continues to surf...107 right now. I can't be happier...she's just doing really well. Go, Esse.

I spoke with my birthsister...and yes, it must continued the weirdness; good conversation, but still, weird. This is just some strange news to adjust to, you know? Just a strange, weird day.
