Yesterday, bit of a rainbow. I always hate giving a fur shot, because they come in multiples here. :arghh::banghead:

2/19 Recap:

Not much to say - except I think I'm grumpier than Neko. She's had a typical morning, even gotten some purrs. She tried the solarium briefly, but today they are doing some hammering out back (sporadically) as they work on forms for a retaining wall.

Neko was quite playful last night. Several nanners were well chewed and we had a rousing game of batting the feathers at the end of the stick. Civie Theo, however, is terrified of that toy for some reason. So Neko had it all to herself. She's really enjoying the new beds I bought too. :)
 
Sorry for the fur shot. Many scritches to Neko, I saw your photo in the new bed. She is really a beautiful girl!
 
Darn those fur shots. I think it bothers us more than it does them. They seem to carry on as if nothing happened. Peg and Toby
 
Ugh on the fur shot. Fortunately they bounce back quick from that. Love that she was playful. That makes a bean's heart happy. Have a great night Wendy!
 
I thought of you this morning when some rotter in the street behind started using noisy equipment of some sort around 6am (not supposed to be before 7 here either). I was up but it certainly shattered the peace of the morning for me :mad:

Hope Neko is heading back down already.
 
Nuts on the furshot, but you know Miss Neko will quickly get over it. I hope you got out and did something for yourself today. But I do completely understand how frustrating furshots are! :bighug: Is your view going to improve when it is all said and done at your neighbors?

I noted that Neko's new supplement might be useful for IBD- I will show it to our vet next week thanks!
 
Bummer on the fur shot! Just think how rich we'd be if we had a dollar for every fur shot we've given! That gives me an idea: a fur-shot jar. Put a dollar in every time you do a fur shot and when it's full, go out and buy yourself something nice.

Still thinking of that guy rowing at full speed down the ice! Wow!

Neko's balloon is very slowly coming down. In spite of it, the nanners got a good chewing this afternoon. And for several hours, there were two cats in the two new beds. :)

@ Delia, Peg, Melissa, Liz, Carla, Serryn, Rhiannon, Ruth, Ella - Thanks for stopping in to see the high flying girl. :rolleyes: The good news is I probably don't have to worry about her tomorrow while I'm gone to a long discussion meeting about parking at the cove where our rowing club boathouse is. Back yard was relatively quiet. I'm not sure what the retaining wall is going to do to the view. I've mixed feelings about it. They are on a slight up-slope from us and building a 3 story house. I'd rather not look at it, but I also don't want to lose all the light from the east. @Vyktors Mum - I used to work at the local municipality run shelter, I'm very ready to call bylaw enforcement if this guy starts noise before they are used to. So far they haven't. @Ella & Rusty & Stu(GA) - I like your idea of the fur shot jar. :p

Nice recovery from the furshot. I think we all have to have them every now and then to keep us from getting complacent (that's my excuse, anyway!). Not sure I have a jar big enough...

Get those nanners, Neko! They deserve everything you give 'em! :joyful:
