Morning LL,

Sending vines to Ripley, Muffin, and Cleetus, and all other puds in need. Healing vines to Doug and Ann's DM and all other beans who need them.

Kismet is feeling good this morning, and hunnnngry! He woke me up early by stomping on my chest singing for fuds. I wish I could train him to stomp at 4am to help me get up for the nadir. I tried the pillow app (coined by Marje!) last night and either it didn't go off, or I slept right through it. ohmygod_smile I stayed up to get the +4, so I'd been asleep for maybe an hour and a half when the alarm went off (if it did.) Oh well, DH is going to be home to test for +5 and +6 today.

I have a big, anxiety laden day! First, I am getting observed today by my teaching mentor. I am a Graduate Teaching Assistant at my University and am teaching ENC 1101-- first year composition and rhetoric. This is pretty standard (everyone must observe other instructors and be observed) but I am still nervous. nailbite_smile I know it will be okay, and if my students come prepared and are cooperative, perhaps I will reward them with doughnuts on Friday. Like kitties, they need positive reinforcement.

Tonight, I have my presentation on King Lear in my Thesis and Dissertation Workshop Seminar. nailbite_smile Wish me luck!

I hope everyone has a great day!

What a great start for Kis!!!

You sure do have a hectic day ahead....sending many Good Luck Vines your way!!! I'm sure you'll do great with all of it!

Re: 2/20 Kismet AMPS 106

Beautiful blue for Kismet!! Good luck today. My DH taught English at the college level for about 10 years and we were married when he was going through his Masters and PhD program. I know how stressful it all is. You will do great!!

Re: 2/20 Kismet AMPS 106

Hey, Courtney -

Thanks for remembering Doug. Thankful he's moving in the right direction. :-D

Oh, you DID have a stressful day! I hope your students were prepared and cooperative and not like a lot of the students Jessica comes home complaining about. And, yes, doughnuts are a great idea! I hope your presentation went well, too!!

NICE AMPS, Kismet! I hope the rest of the day was just as pretty :-D

Have a great night -

Libby (& Hershey, too!)

Amy, Melissa, Lesley, and Libby --- thanks to all for stopping by our condo and for the good luck vines --- they worked! Class went very well and I got an excellent report from my mentor. *phew!*

The day was going great, but then... I had to deal with some thesis committee drama--- ohmygod_smile my director (the person who mentors me through writing my thesis) just announced last week that she is leaving the university after this semester and will no longer be able to serve on my committee. This has generated SO MUCH DRAMA between my other committee members. My director offered to stay on until the end of the semester, which we originally agreed upon (since I am supposed to defend my prospectus in APRIL) but another committee member felt that she should leave now and I should reconfigure the committee. I know nobody cares about inter-departmental politics, but it's a really big deal... my future hangs in the balance. I am fairly confident that I will be able to appoint a new director, find a third committee member to replace her, and hopefully still be able to defend at the end of the semester. But this does complicate matters since there is a change of appointment, and there are all kinds of bureaucratic red tape to go through with the university graduate school.

My presentation, btw, was a smashing success!

But enough about me, Kismet had a great day! DH did a FANTASTIC job getting the +5 and +6 while I was away, and he gave me a beautiful PMPS, too. I'd still like to see him come down into the greens 100% of the time, so we'll definitely stick with this dose since it seems to be working (anti-jinx.)

I hope everyone has had a great day/night. Please forgive me for not visiting many other condos today... it's 10:45 and I have yet to have dinner and I need to do some homework before turning around and going back to school tomorrow. hugs and scritchies to all in LL!

129 at +2. I'm so sleeepy, I am not sure if I am going to bother trying the alarm tonight. He's still has some leftover dinner that I will leave out for him to graze as he pleases and hope that keeps him surfing throughout the next few hours. His nadir has been occurring a little bit earlier since we've been on the 1 drop (about +5). Is that normal? He's always been pretty regular with dips at +6. I question if I am even getting the drop into him half the time :? I have another pretty busy day ahead of me tomorrow... I am SO looking forward to the weekend and doing a more comprehensive curve on Mr. K.

Hi, Courtney -- Sorry, I don't know if that's a normal nadir; I want to stop by and thank you for the extra thoughts for Ripley today.
You've had quite a day yourself! You deserve a good night's sleep.
And Kismet is doing so well!
Weekends are for 2 things in our home: laundry and testing  .

Hope you guys are having a good night!
~Josie (& Ripley)
