Good Sunday morning LL. NIght duty bean here on condo duty. MamaLizBean is chopping and cooking in the kitchen, we smell garlic and onions. Mmmm mmmmm mmmm. :-D Zener continues to have waxing and waning appy and generally feeling punk. MamaBeans are diligently practicing Zener's instructions to "pet more, worry less." cat_pet_icon

Since his numbers were on the high side this morning, we gave him 100mL of subQ fluids aka Joy Juice. The vet sent us home with fluids last week to use as needed to keep him well hydrated since his eating is off. His kidney values had not changed much since last year, and we'll get those on his SS soon. Thanks to Marje, Mike and our favorite YouTube Star, Gus (GA), for making the video on how to give fluids. It had been several months since we did fluids and needed a refresher. We so enjoyed watching Gus being so chill and also purring up a storm. He was a one of a kind gentleman cat.

Paws crossed the bounce eases off slowly the rest of the day. What would we do without those great videos to help us out. I'm not doing subQ's here but would have loved to have that around when I had to some years ago.

Looks like the joy juice is helping the Z Man get back to the Yellow Team (and almost to the Blue Team). Go Zener! Here's to a happy appy.

Sounds like your kitchen krew under Chef Liz made a wonderful dinner. I tried a 4-bean stew (cooked all day in my slow cooker). Edward liked it but I didn't like it at all! The only thing good about it is that it was easy to make :lol:

As requested by his LL aunties, Zener has returned to the blue grotto. The squids seem to be helping him with better numbers and improved appy.

Will get some more tests because often his numbers drop in the cycle after fluids. Fortunately for the night duty bean, classes are cancelled this week so students and faculty can attend a conference in Las Vegas. I am the only faculty member not going, staying home to catch up on my travels to Germany. And it is really tough on MamaLizBean when she has to be BIC during the semester so I didn't mind giving this one a miss.

Night duty bean, reporting ready and able! ~O)
