2/2 | Moose | PMPS = 82, +1.5 = 59, +2 = 27, + 2.5 = 34, + 3= 39, +3.5 = 47, +4 = 51, +4.5 = 77

Better. Going in the right direction. C'mon, Moose... let's see a higher number.
See you in another 20 minutes.

it's hard to tell because the opening to the Karo bottle is so big, it's doesn't "drop" it "pours."
While we're waiting for the next test...
I used a rubberband to attach a needless/oral syringe to the karo bottle for situations like this. It's much easier to control "drops" of karo from an oral syringe than simply pouring from the bottle.

Fed him 2 tsps more of HC + a little too much Karo...we may see a good increase because it poured out really fast. I let him finish most of it but didn't want to give too much Karo.

Good idea, thank you. Wish I would had done that before that last pour :banghead:

For the next test...
if he has a decent rise, hold off on more karo. Instead, feed him gravy OR a gravy and HC combination depending on the numbers.... just in case you're fighting low numbers for awhile yet. My reasoning is sometimes too much syrup will cause kitty to vomit.

FYI, it is hard to measure drops with that Karo bottle, if you have an oral syringe, that’s what I use and then you will know how much does what. Like .5mL, .8mL, etc. come up, Moose!
Thank you! I need to go pick up another. I swore I had one but I can't find it...grr...

Ok sounds good. I don't want my pour guy to have an upset tummy, and he definitely got a little too much Karo in the last go...

Thank you very much for your help!

Yaaaaaaay! Good job! You're not out of the woods yet, but getting closer.

If he'll eat it... I'd feed a teaspoon or two of HC (if not, give him gravy) and retest in 30 minutes... just to help him get up on a surf board and to make sure he doesn't do another little dipsy-doodle again.

Now the goal is to get him carbed up enough so he doesn't drop again. Once that happens, you can rest easy and get to bed at a decent time.

Fed him 2 tsps of HC, he ate it all within seconds. Will test again in 30. Thank you!

That's hilarious! Rex tipped the scale at 21 pounds at one point. He's on a diet right now and he's now in the 13's and much more playful.
Ahh yes Moose tipped the scale at close to 23 lbs, and he had such a difficult time cleaning himself :( 14's are much more manageable and his long fur looks so much better now that he can clean it regularly!

Happy that they're both in a healthy weight range now :)

Wonderful!
Given Moose has nothing more to prove on this dose, I'd carb him up a little more and then see if he stays up before turning in for the night. Can you leave food out for him to snack on?
Will do! Although, "leaving food out for him to snack on" will just be me putting food down for him to eat immediately within minutes, but same thing right? :p
