Yesterday was..... pink day in MannieLand. A rather flat pink day... ugh. but it is better than the red and the black floors. He is heading down, but slowly. Maybe that is good. Appy continues to be good, only one reject: +3 in the PM cycle. Warming the food took care of that. LB continues to be good, ketones negative. He's still up and about, slowness still persists. I hope for a good day today, maybe some nice yellow and blues. Think blue Mannie, you can do it! Mannie - here's to you, some very strong feel better vines. Lubs ya big guy! cat_pet_icon

All is well in MannieLand. :-D :-D Activities have been fairly normal, he seems to be getting more adventurous each day too. He really is getting better, everyday these is something - a nuance, a head tilt, whatever that tells me things are on the upswing. He is up and about, doing normal Mannie things. Yesterday morning he went out on the deck, surveyed the yard, and then off he went, slowly, to check out his favorite haunts: one by one. The path was walked, the perimeter secured, the ground cover sat in, the kingdom surveyed. YAY!!!!! That was so so cool to see. One of the things I have been waiting for: his visits to his places. I can tell that there are moments when he still is trying to feel great. he 's doing darn well though. :-D I think that the slower part has alot to do with his being a senior. It's hard for these older cats to just bounce back. Nice that time is on their side - he can take as long as he wants. He's alert, preening, visiting favorite haunts. LB is normal, ketones negative. Life is good In MannieLand. Nicholas and Mannie shared their usual greetings yesterday - they really are very good together. :-D :cool: Test was good this morning, as was the shoot. Appy was good: he ate well. CPC!!!!! :cool: 98% Close to normalcy in MannieLand, still working on that last 2%.... :-D With his outside foray yesterday, knock off another 1%. :-D cat_pet_icon

Have a great day everyone! Today will be catch up day for me, and errands. Bummer: the pantry is bare! :shock: Weather should be better today so I really hope to get out for a hike. Paws crossed!!

Hey everybody! What's up???? You guys wanna go snowboarding today? Maybe some ski jumping too. And I heard abut these things called moguls, and you can do really cool leaps and flips and turns and stuff. Maybe we can try that. I wonder if we could find an ice skating pond too. That would be so cool! I got the bus all packed with all our winter stuff, and lots of fleece too! All out grillin' stuff too. You guys in? Let me know - I am ready for anything!!~~ Mannie

Hi Mannie,

Glad to hear that your kingdom is fine and you surveyed it yesterday. So love that you are a member in good standing again at the CPC! That is so important you know.

Oh and to whomever borrowed Maui's convertible. You neglected to gas it up before you returned it. I checked the car and it's on E! It was full before you took it. I hope you enjoyed your joy ride and next time, please fill the tank before returning it. Thanks.



Hey Mannie,

The sun is out here, but it is way beyond freezing! Do you have my special sled packed? And you need to have lots of blankies and hot milk and cocoa! Pick me up and I'll run quick into the warm bus and lay by the heater! Make sure it's toasty warm before you get here.

My bean says she saw my shadow, does that mean summer is almost here! I miss summer and the warm weather and my chair on the porch. I love napping on my porch chair, with the sun warming my fur...

Yo Mannie, Swing the bus by here today. Winter Carnival is here. Lots of skiing, snowboarding, and other stuff, like sawing and chopping wood. We can tour the Ice Palace and slide down the battlements into the "sea". The theme is "Under the Sea". I'm wearing my Neptune costume that Tess made for me for Halloween. And tell all kitties not to worry: the LagoonMeister will keep an eye on all who want to surf. See ya later,

Woo Hoo! 98%!! I'm thrilled to see that! How wonderful that he's back to his perimeter checks and surveying his kingdom! That's great news! I love your new drainage contractor. :lol: What a cutie! Hope you get those errands done and are able to get out for some fun.

Morning Ann ~O) ~O) ~O) SO AGREED on the perimeter patrol. Gosh that was nice - first day in nearly a month that he has wanted to go out. Oh yes on my new drainage contractor! He keeps saying "yard broke" fix it!" :lol: :lol: :lol: so guess we had better. The contractors have been out: we have several trouble spots (oh great....) some totally blocked lines, some dead end lines that shouldn't be, some sections are missing all together, others are busted up darn bad, and none of it connects to the street and the sewer lines... so: our drainage system is non-operational, which explains alot.. so: need to sign the contract and then they will fix us, for a nice 4 digit hefty sum. :o :shock: :o :shock: :roll: :roll: all of which, I am sure, will be carefully scrutinized by my new contractor. :-D

Hi Anne ~O) ~O) ~O) yup! 98%. I only hold back because he is still slow to move, and ism not too sure why that is. perhaps the IM vet he will see on Monday will have some insights. Anyways - I was so happy to see him out in the yard!! It was short, but he did do all the things there he always does: wonderful! THX too on my new drainage contractor. That was such fun to watch him look at it all. He tried so hard to work that shovel... "Grammie! yard broke!" yes, little man, that it is. :lol: :lol:

Tess - YUP!! Winter carnival it is: snowboarding and skating and all kinds of really cool stuff!!!! Oh come on down Mannie! I would say though that the feeling better part is the best. It's just like us I guess. We just don't bounce back quite like we used to. So glad he is feeling good enough for patrol. This will all be behind you soon. The numbers will follow. The big guy has been through a lot. Have a great night Michelle!

Hi Melissa - Yupp I think so too... the Numbers are awful, but the feel good part is very nice. I am sure part of this is that we/he just doesn't bounce back like he use too. Time is what he needs. THANKS SO MUCH for your post. I keep telling myself that this will be behind us shortly, once it is, the Numbers will come down. AN ya know - youa re so right. He has been through alot. That is for sure.
