Kallie has been in remission for 6 weeks. I am concerned because her BG is going up with no explanation. No changes in food- the same Turkey and Giblets. No weight gain. Testing weekly, the last 5 weeks her BG has been increasing. I took her to the Vet this past Monday and all her blood work and urine sample were good. He said her teeth looked good, too. Here are her BGs for the last 5 weeks:

1/5. 47
1/12. 54
1/19. 59
1/26. 70
2/2. 72

Any idea why her BG is going up? Is there anything I can do?

That's great that she made it into remission. You might want to put a ? at the front of your title for the thread to draw more eyes. Also, it probably wouldn't hurt to start a 2020 spreadsheet that way members can tell what time you did the tests and what time she generally eats. Glucose numbers can and do change throughout the day depending on the amount of exercise, food eaten, stress, infections etc..
 
Thanks. I’ll start a new spreadsheet. All days except today were at the time is AMPS. Today, was still six hours after she ate. I feed her every six hours.
 
Great. I'll be following your thread to see what more experienced people's thoughts are on Kallie's rising numbers. Personally, I would love to have those numbers without insulin! :)
 
The numbers you have given are over a span of 5 weeks and all within normal range. I wouldn't say they are going up, don't forget that meters can be off by 20%. Numbers can bobble around for a lot of reasons, but these are all fine. I'd be more concerned if you were starting to see numbers in the higher 100s or 200s combined with outward signs, like excessive peeing and drinking water. Good that you got a vetty visit in, blood work and urine tests would have indicated something if there were an issue, normal tests are what you want ;)

For the moment, it seems to me that Kallie is still in remission.

Thanks, Christie. Yes, I know she’s still in remission, but I thought 50-80 is normal and creeping towards 80 is concerning. What if she gets up to 90? When is she out of remission?
