Yesterday's Long Night's Journey into Day
Cinco was apparently having way too much fun in the lagoon last night and did NOT want to come out. I didn't carb him up because I'm a night owl anyway and I wanted to let him surf for a while, as long as he stayed safe. I hung around to keep a look out for sharks. I am very pleased to see that he did not bounce today - i did expect it after that 123 point drop at PM+3, but I guess the trampoline is still in storage. Hopefully it will stay there. Today Cinco is sunning himself on shore, waiting for China to stop messing with her bean and come join him. Right now Max is keeping him company.
Today was Liberation Day for Harvey. After everyone was fed and medicated I did my usual rounds, scooping the lbs. When I got to the cage I opened the door wide and took the lb out. I told Harvey he could come out, but he just went back in the corner and laid down on his bed as he'd been doing most mornings when I scooped his box. I took the box out and dumped it and cleaned it and put it away, leaving the cage door open, and when I came back in he was standing next to the big litter box that is about a foot away from the cage. When he saw me, he went back into the cage and laid down on his bed! I tried coaxing him out, but he didn't want to come out, so I left him there! He finally ventured out an hour or so later when I went to the store. It didn't take him long to get back to old habits - wrapping himself around my legs in the kitchen as I fixed my lunch, jumping on my lap and headbutting my hands as I tried to type! I still marvel at how painless the whole incarceration period was. Good to know, if I ever need to board him at Dawn's.
Minka and Sasha both didn't want to eat again. After her Ond/Pepcid gelcap, Minka ate a little, but not a lot. I gave Sasha some Cerenia, and two hours later she cleaned her plate. It works better for her than Ond. I boiled chicken for my lunch and I have some cooling now I plan to take up to Minka, with broth. It really is hit and miss with her. It's so hard to know when she doesn't like what I'm offering and when she doesn't feel well. She rarely has that smacking lips, nausea thing going on.
Another beautiful day in Northern CA. The long term forecast says rain Thursday-Sunday, but I'll believe it when I see it. After that? 70s and sunny.
Waaaah!!! I want my winter!!!
Sending healing vines to all in need and hugs to all their beans.
Prayers continue for Amy's DF, Lyresa's DF & DH, Lisa's DF and Elise's DM.
