Good morning!
AMPS 131
shooting .75u
sigh
Boomer ate most of his +3, left some of his +6, and left about 1/3 of his +9 snack. So I'm blaming the horrible AMPS on his not eating his full snack.
Lots on the to-do list today including starting an exercise program
Yesterday DH and I took advantage of the sunny weather to go to the park where the Bald Eagles hang out. We didn't see any yet again
and other than a couple of downy woodpeckers and a small number of chickadees/nuthatches we didn't see too much at all. Nothing that we don't see on a regular basis in our own backyard
So I suggested a walk in another local park which also runs by the river. Last year there was a horned owl nest in the park and there were 2 babies. We never did see the adults. So we took a walk to the site of the nest and sure enough mama Horned Owl is sitting on eggs. The nest is pretty high up and they've built it in a hollowed out trunk so you can't actually see the nest. And much of her was hidden. I was so hoping that she would stretch up or that Mr Owl would fly into the nest but of course that didn't happen. Anyways I was pretty happy to see them nesting there and will be back frequently with the hopes of getting a better shot. Attached is the shot I got yesterday.
