Took Pepper to see his regular vet who took chest x-rays that showed fluid build-up around his heart and lungs, so we took him directly to his cardiologist who drained the fluid and put him in an oxygen chamber. They are keeping him overnight. I got to visit him before we left the animal hospital and he already looked like he was feeling so much better! He was up and wanted to be petted and I'm sure he thought we were going home, poor baby! The cardiologist took an echocardiogram and said his heart didn't look any worse than at his last appt. three months ago but the Lasix wasn't doing the job, so she prescribed a different diuretic, torsemide, instead.
