I didn’t increase today as planned, even though that was a high green. I wasn’t sure if I should or not with just one dip into green. I wish I could have stayed awake to see how much lower he would go but I couldn’t. Now I expect him to bounce to the moon, and his vet trip is today. Dread that with a passion. Max hates the car and the vet’s office too of course.

Thanks Wendy. Getting ready to go in about 30 minutes. I will let you know how it goes. Did I do the right thing by keeping him where he is on his dose for now? It’s so hard to determine something like that when his best numbers are probably during the night when not tested. I wouldn’t have given MC either if it had been daytime. Just hard to manage at night.
 
I would have increased to try to get rid of the pinkies (and reds). But waiting until after a vet visit so no dives that day makes sense.

Okay I decided to increase him in the morning instead of tonight. Just back from the vet’s office. His appointment was for labs only but his vet brought him back in the room to me after his labs and told me that he looked really good. She asked about how he was doing and I told her he had come down to 6 units bid since we saw her last, but now he’s headed back up and that I was increasing his dose to 8 units tomorrow morning. We did a complete senior panel checking not only his T4, but his other lab values as well. They also are sending some blood to MSU to check for IAA. She said she would have his senior panel back a day or two and she wanted to make sure he didn’t have a UTI or something causing problems so she will call me with his lab results as soon as she gets them back. Max was not a happy camper. He hissed at his vet and anybody else who tried to talk to him. He was not very social today lol. I should go ahead to 8 and not 7.75 right Wendy? Thanks!
 
You haven't done a lot of 0.25 unit increases, just the one from 6.5 to 6.75. Seems Max might need the larger 0.5 unit increases.
