KT's his bootiful sweet self this morning altho' was hollering 'FEED ME' about 30 minutes after +3. I didn't test but will in about half an hour - bet it won't be green but hopefully it WILL be at least blue! We just started another vial of insulin but it's been in the fridge for over a year. An anonymous donor sent us 3 vials last year - BLESS YOU AGAIN! I'm not sure tho' that this one isn't a little weak. It LOOKS good, no floaties or other junk in it, clear as can be but I know it's been hot and cold and QUITE cold a couple of times. It IS doing something so it's not all toast, may just have to use a bit more.
I took Snow in this morning for a blood panel - everything came back fine for the most part. His phosphorus was a bit low - WHAT DOES THAT MEAN? His BG was about 3 points high but I knew he'd just eaten a can of HC gravy food shortly before that. I'll test him occasionally and keep an eye on that - he's a BIG boy too. Vet was so amazed at the strength and feel of his muscles - said he'd not felt a cat that strong in a long time. He DOES have a lot of poop inside but now that I know everything is OK, I can start helping get rid of that with miralax and lots of water. Vet said hairball gel would do it too...he'd never heard of using Miralax but he tends to tell people to stay away from human meds for any animal.
I felt SO bad for a lady there - her cat wasn't feeling well, she'd given him a big dose of Tylenol which had sent him into liver failure. They were going to try to save him but it didn't look good at all...she said goodbye to him and left in tears. Of course she's blaming herself but in this case, there IS no one else to blame.
It's BEAUTIFUL here today, I've been out weeding my flower beds getting ready to plant flowers soon. I think I'm going to plant morning glories on my fence this year. I have seeds from an OLD OLD huge purple heirloom vine that belonged to my grandmother - they're beautiful when blooming. Here's a thumbnail of one in bloom - there is NOT a light behind it, they really almost glow like this!

It sure does seem like the folks in LL know more about meds than the vets do. Paws crossed for the vial to still have some kick to it. KT, come on down to some blues and greens. Hugs to you, Lyresa.
