Good Morning LL!

I'd every intention to get up at 3:57 am to get our +6. I use the vibrate alert on my phone so that it won't disturb DH. I actually put my phone in my PJ pants pocket so that way I would feel it go off and the sound on the bedside table wouldn't wake up DH (he's a light sleeper.) Do you know that my phone buzzed for an hour and a half until it finally woke me up at just before 5:30am? ohmygod_smile :lol: I must have been in a very deep sleep. (I take ambien for my insomnia.) I put out a little bit of HC at 2am, though, just to help him surf through his nadir.

Wouldn't it be hilarious to see an Ambien commercial for FDMB members?

*Voice Over* Patients taking Ambien have been reported to get up at 4am to test their cat's blood glucose and then feed them without remembering the next morning. If this happens to you, then you probably just have a cat with diabetes. If your cat doesn't have diabetes, discontinue use of Ambien and seek help immediately.

Hi guys .. look at these number! How awesome are they? Too funny on the voice over! I remember when we had to do night time testing on mocha .. we had both our alarm clocks set plus one clear across the room .. and even then, there were nights we slept through it all ohmygod_smile have a great day guys!

:lol: At the alarm clock across the room! I used to have to do that before I met DH, or I would not get out of bed.
This 10am/10 pm schedule really sucks, but we don't have a choice. I usually don't get home until 9:45 every night. :roll:

LOL at the voice over! I have slept through or turned off more than one alarm myself ohmygod_smile Beautiful numbers for Kismet - keep it up!

Tara, it's so easy to do when you're on late cycles!

We've apparently bounced into the blues... :YMSIGH: We live in a duplex/townhouse, and the neighbors are having their side of the roof re-tiled. It is VERY loud and clunky and jack hammery. When I came home, Kismet was hiding under the bed (which he never, ever, does unless he's terrified.) I'm wondering if the noise is stressing him out and accounting for this bounce? He's gone up at his nadir instead of gone down. He has had no food since breakfast, so this is not food influenced. Another possibility is that he had an asthma flare while I was gone, but he sounds good and clear. Unfortunately, I have to go back out tonight to class in about 1.5 hrs and won't be home until PMPS so I won't get to see what he does in the next 6 hours.

I'm another one who can't get up at night. I wake up, and actually lie there, searching for excuses not to get up :lol:

Poor l'il Kismet was scared by the bad roofing guys? Awww

Hi Courtney... I didn't know you could put a new roof on half a house.

Yup... he's a scaredy cat when it comes to loud noises. Barb, you can tile half a roof! They're not actually continuous... there's a white wall that runs down the center of the roof.

I think I may have actually missed part of Kismet's dose this morning. I'd left the syringe out on the bathroom counter, and when I was just throwing it away into the sharps container, depressed the plunger and a teeny tiny drop formed at the end. I use the Walgreens Super thin IIs and they're pretty difficult to get these micro doses out. I have to press hard on the plunger when the needle is in him, which I know causes him some discomfort. I definitely got the whole drop in tonight, though! I checked after I stuck him.

Whatcha doing back here???? I've not posted for awhile and am just catching up. DH is in Orlando on a business trip so I'm enjoying the quiet house. :smile: Your SS looks pretty good. Lets hope this is a short-lived stint.

Have you made any decisions about trying the raw food? FB is doing great on NV Raw Instinct.

Poor Kismet....little lover boy being stressed by all that noise. He's probably used to it just being quiet with you and DH. Hope the insulin will kick in tonight and you'll see those lovely numbers again although these are not shabby at all for possibly getting a little less jooce.

I put my phone under my pillow so when it vibrates, I definitely hear/feel it. Have you ever tried the Sleep Pillow app? It's awesome! I set it for 15 minutes and never hear it turn off...I'm sound asleep!

(((Karen!!!))) I was wondering if you'd be popping in :) Yes, we're back, but hopefully for just a short period of time. He's been responding very well to the insulin and in a hurry to get off, I think. We haven't made the switch to raw yet. There are no stores in my area that carry any raw food, and I don't have the wherewithal to make it myself.

How are you, Greg, and Fur Ball doing?

Hi Marje! I've not heard of the pillow app :lol: I actually downloaded another alarm app though, since my phone only came equipped with the most awful alarms ever. I might try under the pillow tonight!

I'm hitting the hay now (1am here) and am taking only 1/2 an ambien tonight. Here's to hoping that the vibrating pillow will work! I've set the alarm for 3:57am so I can grab that nadir. I will be out tomorrow all afternoon/evening, but DH says he is going to try to get his +5 maybe +6 before he leaves for work tomorrow. :mrgreen: I'm so glad he is finally helping with testing. (He's only done 2 test by himself, and both times got blood his first poke!) I've also bookmarked this forum on his computer and told him exactly what to do I.C.E.
