After a nice day of surfing yesterday, we're starting a little bit higher today. Then Scott accidentally fed Benny some of the 15% carb that was leftover from yesterday (I gave him a T. before bed, just to keep his BG up).

We'll be looking for him to level off, it looks like he's beginning to normalize at lower peaks without dropping into hypo territory.

Ooops, don't worry about it , it will be out of his system in a couple of hours, so numbers wise you may see him dip at +2-+3 once they wear out. Just bear that in mind when testing today.

Yes - will certainly do so. It was just one of Benny's many small meals throughout the day, so I know it will average out. Just another learning experience for us - make sure we both know which food can be fed, and under what circumstances. Scott handles most of the feeding, and although I mark the lid of the HC foods, once it was opened, it just looked like any other acceptable food.

We had that issue too when we moved to depot insulins (we never did anything with MC or HC foods when we were on Vetsulin). To combat that, I label both the top and the sides with the percentage and if it's MC or HC food. I started it for Caleb's benefit, but I find it helpful for myself as well so I can group like with like and I don't have to really think about the carb percentages or if it's HC or MC. It's also nice because the can usually hangs out in the fridge for a while so then we don't forget about the carbs, etc. I'm sure Benny appreciated the extra rich snack. ;) I hope he surfs safely for you today!!
