Phoebe and I had a long day yesterday. She was very sleepy and restless yesterday. But my grandson was here, so am sure that had something to do with it. I fed here a little after the +6 after pmps, and she had the frozen treat out for later last night. But woke to dry heeding and white foam. Bg pretty high this am and +2. Could it be bounce? Man I'm tired. Good sunday to everyone.
 
I don't think this is a bounce. Overall, I just don't think you've found Phoebe's "good" dose. There's always some variation in numbers even with a kitty that's better regulated. This just seems to be some of the usual variability or due to the vomiting. From you signature, it sound like you're dealing with chronic pancreatitis. Could this be a flare-up?

Not sure Sienna, it would seem her flare up is continual. She is taking zofram, pepcid, gabapentin compound, (bet it has sugar in it) bupe as needed. And the vet has given us Onsior 3 tabs once a day. We haven't given it to her because she had the upset stomach, vet said might cause some tummy upset. So maybe that instead of bupe? She seems to be having flare up after flare up, might get a good day then back to walking so gingerly. It's hard to watch.
 
Do you give her Cerenia or subq fluids? Both help Eleanor. Also I have to divide Eleanor's food into several meals a day - every three hours to be exact. If her stomach gets too empty it throws her right into a week long vomiting/pain episode.

We were giving her cerenia and zofram, for about 5 days then just thought we would see how she did with the zofram on its own. She had been doing ok, yesterday was different. Tight maybe stress. Yes I give her fluids every other day but was due yesterday and I forgot. Will do them today for sure. @Julie and Eleanor have you tried or used the onisor?

Stress can trigger it too!
I'm not familiar with onisor.
 
Stress waswhat triggered pancreatitis for Max. The dry heave could be due to too long without food and stomac acid. Was this overnight? I'm so sorry but it does sound like a flare. If using both cerenia and ondansetron helped I'd try adding the cerenia back. :bighug:

Yes overnight but I left out the frozen cube to melt and she didn't finish all of it and isn't wanting to finish her lunch either. Can I give the cerenia now?
 
I agree with Sienne, I did long term bupe for years for Neko's arthritis. Onsior has not been tested in older kitties for more than the three days it is supposed to be given.

How are Phoebe's poops? She is taking a number of things that are constipating and foamy vomit can be a sign of that.

She's doing good. She's pooped more in the last 3 months than she has her whole life. I am giving her pumpkin, and sprinkling the slippery elm bark on her food. I am guessing she has been stressed by my grandson.
 
Crossing fingers that it's just a little stress and will get better after the grandson leaves again. Our kitties do like their routines, and hate when they get disrupted, don't they? Feel better, Phoebe!
