Trix seems to be feeling quite good....I guess it was my imagination or just a slight off day the other day. Her appy is happy (including Mannie Fuds Dances), snuggles abound, feistiness galore.
We had a couple really cute events with her yesterday. As you know, she is now TOTALLY obsessed with getting into the master bedroom (and she is getting fast about it!). Yesterday, when I got home from my Dad's treatment, I was heading up the stairs. I'm used to all the civvies running up with me - they always start after me and race up past me. As I was heading up yesterday, I heard the usual pitter-patter as fur went zipping by me. By the sound of the footsteps, I thought it was Frankie, but when I looked down, I saw it was Trixie
! She ran all the way up the stairs, past me, and directly to the bedroom door
!
Of course that earned her a ticket in - not that I had much choice in the matter anyway! She immediately jumped on the bed as usual. She has a few favorite spots on the bed - one of DH's pillows, and my fluffy blue throw blanket. DH was in there at this point, too. So with the two of us sitting on the bed with her, she was just beside herself with excitement...she didn't know where to go or what to do! She'd sit on the pillow for a few seconds, then go give DH head butts and rubs, then go to my fluffy blanket, then snuggle with me...lather, rinse, repeat. Just so stinkin' cute
!
DH wants to work on desensitizing Zen from his territorial issues with the master bedroom, and I agree...I'd like to do it - but I don't think I'm up for the amount of potential stress it could cause. The night that he decided that room was "his" was one of the roughest nights we've ever had with our kitties, and I don't want to relive it and I don't want to throw off the balance...not to mention I'm always teetering on the edge with the stress that I can't control, so I'm not so sure I want to actually ASK for new stress!
She's also still feeling quite feisty about the gelcaps, but we are getting them down somewhat easily...somewhat.
We did make it to my Dad's treatment - the snow stopped falling pretty early and the sun came out. My parents had a great time in Hawaii, but boy are they punchy from the jet lag and travel. From Hawaii to the arctic zone to chemo...talk about getting thrown right back into reality! My Mom and I did make our usual shopping run to Sam's Club and overloaded the car again!
Back to work for this bean today...time to get moving. Have a great day L&LL!
