Today makes day 6 that Taz has been on 1.25.

I've noticed something in the past and it was confirmed today. Taz is lowest around his +3 most days. Just as his numbers are declining, he eats his snack at +3.5 and his numbers immediately start to climb afterward. Throw in another snack at +4.5 and he's on his way up again. I can't actually see how low he goes because the food stops the decline. Is this normal? He only eats Friskies pate (5%-7%). I'm looking for some advice on his spreadsheet please (I'll start getting a night time reading from now on).

Will we be increasing to 1.5? Does his curve today even count? Or should he have one on Sunday, after 7 full days on this dose? He's also getting over a possible pancreatitis flare up. Other things I've noticed... he's starving at his +3.5 snack when his Blood Glucose is lowest, and is satisfied after his +4.5 snack when he is going higher.

Since you have seen blue and he’s recovering I would wait until you see his nadir on Sunday. It might be under 150.
 
Aside from what Elise said -

"Can't see how low he goes because food" - that's not the right way to think of it. We want to see how the insulin works with the food. We don't want to "force" artificially low numbers by not feeding - want them to go about their daily lives as needed, and use the insulin around that. It is a little unfortunate that he nadirs early, yes I've seen it here and there with other cats. Sometimes that nadir moves back once you get them regulated. As for food, can't exactly starve him for 8 hrs, just keep doing what you're doing and try to keep the snacks after nadir on the smaller side
 
Also most of us find a few small meals during the first half of the cycle helps regulate the cats. A working pancreas brings the bg down about 3 hours after eating. Today he’s giving you a nice flat blue cycle. That’s progress.

So we only go by the nadir on the curve? He was below 150 two days ago, why would we not go off of that number/day? I'm sorry for so many questions. I just want to make sure I understand correctly when I'm looking for certain things. :)

Is there a theory to why some cats nadir so early?

Taz's little sister isn't wanting to eat her normal food today (no idea why), and I just found out that my sister-in-law (who lives with my mother) just tested positive for covid. My stress level is so beyond high right now. :(
 
Which method are you following? If TR you hold at least 10 cycles since you saw a blue on a dose. IRS been that long so you can go up. If a bounce is clearing I would hold a little longer if you see a lower than 150 bg again. Otherwise you have room to increase. An increase will be needed soon even if you see a bg around 150 but since feeling better a little longer and you might see green.
If following SLGS you hold 7 days.

Ok. Add that to your spreadsheet and signature. With only one nadir all week under 150, I would increase unless you see another bg under 150 tonight or tomorrow.
 
I am not sure why some nadir early.

Nearly all our family are essential workers - teachers, nurses, retail. A few have had COVID twice already. But three have recently had omicron, which I think is now something like 99% of cases? It ranged from a "bad head cold" for my sister (unvaccinated) to "a typical flu" for my MIL (vaccinated, not boosted, but a few risk factors). Overall it seems to be a more mild variant so fingers crossed for that, and for your other kitty to feel better soon

Thank you, I pray so. She was running a fever of 106 last night but they were able to get it down without her going to the hospital. Taz's sister also started eating before bed thankfully.

When a cat is stressed, how long does it take them to release glucose into their bloodstream?
