Greetings one and all! I did not think it had been so long since I had posted about the adventures of Skooter and Molly.:nailbiting: The last few weeks have just really gotten away from me and then on Friday we were devastated by the loss of my Aunt. A very healthy woman, who we believed had a heart attack in her sleep sometime Friday morning/afternoon. It has been a very tough few days.

Last night was her wake and while I really enjoyed seeing family again, I didn't much care for the circumstances that got us together. It was a long, emotional, exhausting night. Then I found out a few hours ago (as I kept waking up) that while we were all at the wake, some jerk offs decided to go and rob the house of one of my cousins. It was her mom who had died. Apparently, there was another family in the neighborhood who was at a family's wake (different family) and they were robbed as well. I just don't get people and how they could kick someone while they were down. It utterly disgusts me.

Skooter did not get his shot last night as they wanted family at the funeral home around 3:30 and we did not get home until about 10ish or so. What a good boy though, giving me a BEAUTIFUL preshot number this morning. He is not laying on my pillow sleeping....I was hoping for a little btb myself, but he pretty much has the pillows taken over. I am hoping things will calm down soon and I can be a regular poster, commenter, lurker, etc on the boards....

Molly, I'm so very sorry for you loss.:bighug::bighug::bighug: How cruel to rob grieving families. They need to find those people, lock them up and throw away the key! Prayers of comfort to you and your family.
 
Molly, so sorry for the sudden, unexpected loss of your aunt. Hugs. And the near incomprehensible cruelty of the burglaries.

Skoots, keep up your excellent work and take good care of your mama.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm glad Skooter is being such a good boy and giving you good numbers to make life a little easier for you.

I've read articles about people being robbed while they are at a funeral, but I'd never know of anyone that actually had it happen. How very sad. There should be a special place in Hell for those creatures.

I hope you can start posting again soon. Cinco misses one of his best lagoon buddies!
 
I so sorry about your aunt Molly. A real shock for you and your family. Skooter is trying to help you out in such a difficult time.

I have heard about those kind of burglaries.
 
I'm sorry for your loss. That is horrible about the robberies. I'm glad Skooter was good for you and gave you a nice start today. Sending prayers for your family.
 
Thank you everyone for your kind words. This has been a very tough loss for me and my entire family actually. It was so sudden and unexpected and my Aunt Marlene was such a kind, sweet soul. There were several times last night when I kept thinking to myself, when is Aunt Marlene gonna get here, she will be able to give me a hug and make me feel better. The added insult of my cousin's getting robbed was just horrific.

As for Skooter, I am not digging how close he is getting to that yellow floor. Let's hope that is just his depot draining a bit. I am sure he will be a wonderful boy and do a nice steady slide down the ladder tonight. Oh wait, this is my cat we are talking about.....nevermind...I am sure practice for the cliff diving team will be going on tonight.

Tonight, in this bitter MN cold where I do believe the HIGH is MINUS 3, I shall try to get some cleaning done....
