2/18 Scooter AMPS 184, +4-331 No kibble today

Hi Folks:

So today is the first day of no kibble in our house and wet food only. Of course Scooter heard us talking last night and decided to react to the new dose and shoot blue (184). So I am going to watch him a lot more today. The other kitties have already revolted and are loud. Poking me even Mom the bowl is gone! Did you forget? :lol:

Anyway I am so glad Rebekah and Ole are doing well today. Whew! It was so nice to see you all help them so fast! This truly is the nicest place on earth!

Good job on no kibble!!! Kitties never forget about anything, including their normal routine. :lol: That's so cute that they were poking you to remind you about the kibble bowl. :lol: I hope that Scooter gives you a lovely surf. Have a great day!

Hi Linda,
I hope the Kitties will get used to the "New Order" without too much drama. Just think of how we react when our routines are altered. And we know the reason! Do you have FortiFlora? You can sprinkle a little on their wet food. It contains "animal digest," which, apparently, is a main ingredient in kibble.

Good luck on the food transition. I'm sure some will be so happy you are finally feeding wet but you'll continue getting pokes from others. :lol:

Glad to hear you are available to keep an eye on Scooter - the change to all wet food will likely affect his insulin needs - for the better.

Nice start for the day, Scooter. Where would you like to go from here? Towards the lagoon, perhaps?

Wow, they went cold turkey, huh? I did my transition gradually - less and less kibble and more moist, and pretty soon they didn't even bother with the dry. However, with that many cats, I think you probably chose the best route. Good luck with it. I'm sure they'll get used to it and even like it better. Mine do.

Update:

The troops are revolting! more fighting, more poking, more talking, more running to the water bowls, one kitten (bear) was even under the radiator by the food bowl area checking for kibble. I gave them all 1/4 can of 9 lives. Two didn't eat. I bet they do at 4. :lol:

Good luck on the wet food transition! I was lucky. Chyna went "where have you been all my life, finally some proper fuds!" and that was that. I hope that your kitties see the light soon . Hopefully it will bring Scooter down to the beautiful lagoon too. Have a great evening!
