Yesterday

Good Morning, L&LL,

Rusty had a good night, ate all his nighttime fuds, and his breathing was pretty good. This morning he again hopped up onto the table to enjoy his breakfast in the company of his beans. Then I read the NY Times while Rusty dozed on my lap. He is doing so well. It really is an amazing comeback! Thanks again to everyone for those extra-strong vines and prayers.

Light snow here this morning, but no really good snow expected. Actually, it's supposed to get very warm and rain tomorrow. Our group's planned 10-mile x-c ski tomorrow to Great Camp Santanoni has been cancelled owing to poor snow cover on the trail to the camp. I'm disappointed because I love this trip. The Great Camp buildings are open this holiday weekend. http://www.dec.ny.gov/lands/53095.html

Tonight is our mountain club's monthly potluck. I have to do a main dish and plan to make an egg, cheese, and potato casserole (in a lasagna pan, not in my Instant Pot).

Sorry about the ski cancellation. Maybe you should come out here. The crocuses and daffodils are confused with 5 inches of fresh snow on top. Made yesterday's start to the rowing season a little cold.

AM shot was short. The pen is getting close to empty, so I may change it tomorrow. These high numbers are owing to so many factors, however. We have yet to clear this latest series of bounces and drops. Rusty continues to do well tonight. He was asleep on the radiator when we got home from the potluck. No leftovers! I guess the casserole was a success. I'll post the very easy recipe later. It's too hard to type on this ancient iPad. It adds letters to every word.

Made yesterday's start to the rowing season a little cold

Makes me want to get out on the water, especially since our snow is not good right now!

Rusty had a good evening, ate all his dinner, watched the Olympics with us. Going to bed now. Rusty walked up the stairs by himself for the first time since his crisis!! That's our boy!

Recipe will have to wait until tomorrow.

Today's Rusty condo totally warmed my heart (and we're actually cold here in Northern CA - mid 30s tonight and high 20s tomorrow night). Like, Wendy, I hold my breath when searching for your posts. Tonight was a big Whew!!!
