Looks like Gobbles changed his mind on the increase this morning! I increased him by .25 U this AM; his new dose is 2.0 U.

This morning, he's feeling very good. The usual barrage of a gazillion kisses and he kindly got the TP off the roll...ah, the whole roll.... Good appetite (ate 2/3 can FF LC), moderate pee clumps, sociable, playing and shooting the breeze with Mom, his dog & a civvie.

So did you see he decided to do the "electric slide" last night? I was anticipating our planned .25 increase yesterday evening, but his numbers had gone down through the day, so I shot his usual 1.75 U. dose...

Yes, Gobby does have a dog and he loves her (well, sometimes). Gobby's dog is named Jessie. She's a wonderful mixed-lab pound girl; a young 15 years old. She still gets around pretty good, even though she's got some hip dysplesia. She has a hard time hearing and lies around a lot--but boy can she run if there's another dog, squirrel or deer on her turf. Gobby truly cares for her, though he does occasionally strike her but truly does it with love....

Do we have a nickname for our sugar-babies' dogs? (i.e., civvie for cats)

I would have done the increase last night as Gobbles wasn't diving down fast, he was pretty much coasting. All is well.
Hope you see some good results soon. Sorry I didn't see your post for help when it was time to shoot.

Good luck with the dosecrease!!! Sounds like Gobby has had a lovely start to the day. How sweet that he has a drooler that he adores and cares for so much.

Gobbles got a .25 increase today. I am baffled by his BG's. Why is he running a pink surf? Here's his numbers so far (also, he was pink last night at +6):

+4 332
+6 302 (actually, it was +5.45)

Good Morning extra sweet Gobbles and MamaBean Kat! I didn't look at sweet baby's spreadsheet but I'll bet the cause is a bounce from lower numbers! Mr. Liver left our party last night - must have been boring here, looks like he came to YOUR house!

KT has droolers too but he just ignores them...mostly. Sassy always wants to smell his face, KT will tolerate it for a few seconds then get up and walk away....they're little droolers, the BIG droolers stay outside or in the garage in their kennel.

It looks to me like he's bouncing off the blue from yesterday. It could also be some New Dose Wonkiness thrown in.

After dancing this dance a while, I've learned to not get too wrapped up in the "why" ;-) you'll make yourself crazy :smile:

No need to be sorry~I should have known to give him the increase....I had the 2.0 in the needle, was ready to shoot, but then decided to just give him the 1.75 since I was like maybe 90% sure to give the 2.0... I erred on the side of caution because I figured the increase could wait one more cycle :-D

Caution is always good if you aren't sure. It's no biggie to wait a cycle. Dose increase don't always show up right away, BGs can actually go up for a few cycles (New Dose Wonkiness.

Good luck with the increase :-D . I have a drooler called Lucky, she found us in the NC mountains. She was in heat and covered in ticks! :sad: She would love to be Molly's friend...Molly...not so much! grumpy_cat Lucky is mesmerized by the appearance of wet food in our house @-) , has scoffed down a few plates if my bedroom door was not closed properly. Days that I work Lucky goes outside onto our sreened in porch, so I don't have to worry about her eating Mollys food! confused_cat

Thanks for the link, Libby. That actually makes sense to me! He has gradually sloped during the day: from AMPS 344 to 302 + 6 to 248 PMPS...so about a 100 decrease in 12 hours.... his PM +6 should be interesting, I think....

Thanks Lesley. Lucky sure is lucky for having found you :) Jessie will eat the cat's food any chance she gets. We feed them in the breezeway next to the kitchen and use a baby gate to keep her out of the food (there's a doorway and we keep the baby gate about 10" off the floor, so that cat's can walk under it, but the dog can't....)

Do you have strips and everything you need? I'm not saying he's going to go low, but now would be the time to go get them, if you are short on something.

Yes, plenty of strips, lancets, HC & Karo, and a back up meter w/strips.
