So assuming all is well when we test tonight, I should test once a week for a while, and then we can move to once a month, correct?

I believe the first time Boomer went OTJ I tested once per week. Personally, I would keep on testing once per week.

Woo hoo! If you keep testing once a week you'll catch any changes earlier. That's what I did with Furball when she was OTJ. Remember Freckles is still diabetic, just diet controlled. Be careful what she eats and of any medicine with sugar in it.
