Good morning.
Bella had a good day yesterday, all green :D
I'll be away for 2-3 days early April, in Montreal for a college visit with my daughter. My son wants to stay home, and my husband wil be here but on call. My son knows how to test and give Bella her shot, but he would probably still need help, so I was thinking of having our sitter come once a day and Lucas do the evening. I'll probably still switch to a vacation dose. I always pre-filled syringes whenever he gave her her shot, it was always less than 2 hours before, but he will have to learn how to do that. We still have time.

Hi Cecile :)
Happy to hear you have some backup so you can travel. It takes a village in Fd case, doesn't it?!
It's good to start preparing in advance. We eat to travel to Scotland for a holiday in July. The thought of traveling feels very intimidating. I guess it's another hurdle I'll need to cross at some point.
A friend recommended an app to find a house-cat sitter. Her friend has a D cat and she used it successfully. Still just tuning about leaving Fistuk fills me with anxiety .
Hope you'r having a good Sunday :bighug::bighug::bighug:

We are lucky, the sitter we already had for Bella before she was diagnosed has several diabetic cats herself. Bella loves her. We go to France a few weeks every summer, and I feel good knowing that she is here. She even comes back during the day sometimes if she feels that Bella might get lower, or just to check on her, or to play :bighug: Last summer there were a few days when she could not be here and we found somebody through an app, but she did not text me at all for 3 days, Bella was sick when our sitter came back, and her BG has not been that high for over a year.

You're so lucky to have people that can take care of Bella. :bighug:
I agree. You are very lucky, Cecile. There’s no way I could leave Ivy. She won’t let anyone else handle her. I had a vet tech try to come give shots and she went running for the hills.

Good to start preparing early. It’s great your son can handle the testing and shots!!
Glad Bella is doing well today! :bighug::bighug:

Yes, we are lucky. It's a good thing too, with my mom in France it would be very difficult if I could not leave Bella.
101 tonight :-)
