Morning LL!! All is well here in Moonie land--She was up in the cat napper again when I woke up--This is good, as she is jumping up there by herself, neuropathy or not!!
I think I will post video Moonie walking so people can see how diabetic neuropathy looks in a cat..
She does great considering & has adapted herself to it--Love her soooo much, she is just so sweet.
Her numbers are great & I hope they continue...
Off to TBP today, leaving by +5.5 so I can test...Moonie is looking forward to Full Moon Party &
She & Copper have caught bunches of soft shell crabs from our waters & will bring to the party!
Secret recipe she says :lol: :lol: :lol: confused_cat

Hey Roni....I'm so sorry I've missed Moonie's condo so much lately between TBP and my DS visiting....and spending time with Mike in the evening. Moonie is doing so fantastic....why do you think she still has her neuropathy? I always thought that went away once they were regulated and got the methylcobalamin? No? I hope you have a super day at TBP because you are such a special person! luv ya!

Whenever you talk about her catnapper I always want a people sized one. :lol:

Answer to a question re: neuropathy--In some cats it does not reverse..I still give her methyl B12 & Dasuquin, and she does walk normally, but she feels more comfy on her hocks...Moonie also has a floating kneecap on her good leg ohmygod_smile ohmygod_smile -so that doesnt help--But she gets everywhere and can still jump on bed, couch, window box, and where ever she wants, just cant jump really high like kitchen counter--
She was never a High jumper. She is a climber & uses her nails to boost herself up on everything(and yet has never hurt one piece of furniture!!)
When she was outside,as a stray kitten, she climbed into a 75 foot pine tree, and on the way down, she jumped to the ground from about 25 feet off the ground!! I think that is when it started. But with the
FD. the neuropathy just was her 1st symptom, inability to walk right! She was always ok till her dx in 2 2008.

Actually I found her under the same tree, with her bro, staring at us & looked hungry!!
AWWWWW! 3 months later she was an indoor cat!! Forever loved!--

What a nice cycle setting up for Moonie!! Glad to hear she continues to get around well. Love the tree kitty story! so sweet!

Hi Roni & Moonie, What great numbers today. All that cooking must agree with Moonie. The secret crab recipe is much anticipated! Our snow is a mess of mud and grit on the streets (but nice on the ground still). I don't want a thaw yet, it's too early. Tomorrow is supposed to be 50 degrees with lite rain, but colder at night and back to normal on Sat. Should be a nice nite for the kitties at the party: not too cold, but cold enough to enjoy all that SNOW, and the MOON on the SNOW!

Moon Moon is very happy tonite, slept near me for a while-eating well--drinking lots.
Think the kitties will like her new recipe!--We are tired & need to go Ni Ni--
