Yesterday's thread

We briefly dipped into greens last night, but we're still running a bit high. Bounce? Failed reduction? Bounce combined with stress/annoyance because the vet came to give her her monthly solensia shot? She also puked up a hairball this morning (at least it was only 2 minutes before my alarm to wake up and test/feed/shoot, and not the usual 15 minutes that she thinks I need to wake up - not just by hairballs). The second dip into the 30s on Thursday could have still been influenced by the depot of the 2.25 units that led to the reduction on Tuesday.

Wow, Alicia. So much to consider with Kit cat given the past couple of days. I’m sure the vet visit didn’t help.
She’s probably still pissed off after that.
Plus the early am puke. (We had one too, then appetite was off).

Patience on dose sounds wise. Safety first, always.
Do enjoy the few days of no boys in the house. (Jealous here, mine never has to travel. Boo hoo).
Ivy and I would love an all girls few days. :)
Hope you can get some relaxing in this weekend. Sounds like you have quite a full agenda to get everything done for the early part of the work week.

Yeeesss, patience is mighty haaaarrrd :p
And it's hard to see whether it is the bounce vs needing more juice.
But it looks like Kit's coming down slowly - may be getting ready for the active PM cycle!
Hang in there. Put on the patience pants and lock them on! :p

Kit seems to bounce for about 4 cycles, at least judging by the 2/13 to 2/15 cycles. Does that seem right to you? If so, you only need to wait after a reduction as long as it takes for them to clear the bounce, then see if she's seeing green before deciding if the dose has failed. I would wait at least tonight to see what she does. The alternative method to seeing if a dose has failed is to see if the numbers are trending continually upwards. Which they aren't. The larger depot does influence 4-6 cycles after a reduction, as you saw on 2/15, so you can also wait until all the larger depot is gone to see where the numbers land.

But whhhyyyyy is it always the nights that are active

Eric rarely leaves if I'm not also leaving, while I go to conferences and to visit the fam. So it's nice on the rare occasion work sends him somewhere.

Thanks Wendy. That whole second reduction so quickly just seemed throw off what I had seen for awhile - she hasn't had a true reduction since August, and none that happened that fast. So then I doubt everything I think I know. We'll see how tonight goes and evaluate from there. Much appreciated!

Nothing drastic in the first cycle today. Just a slow but steady drop down. PMPS is lowest of the day. We're running out for an hour or so, so I might leave some 6 or 7% food out for her just in case. She's not been as interested in food today, she'll eat if I coax her, but she mostly just wants to sleep on the bed (she kicked Eric out of bed this morning because she wanted to lay down and he was still in bed. Was he where she wanted to lay? No, she just doesn't like to share the king sized bed sometimes.)
