Been a wonky start to the week for Jade. All of that info is on the past few condos....in a nutshell, her appetite has been off. Every other behavior is normal. Last night I shot .5 and she fell really quickly. I knew at +2 that we were headed towards a long night (again). She didn't eat the entire portion of Sheba but she ate most of it so I felt ok about shooting. I’ve had to mix MC into her LC food several times lately to keep her in safe numbers while I’m gone or need to sleep. This morning I gave her a reduction. I don't really think she needs a reduction as much as I feel like I need to change her meal times. I have always just fed her whenever she wants it and I think maybe since her appetite has changed, I should hold back starting 4 hours before PS. She's always been a very hearty eater so feeding at PS has never really been an issue until recently. I went into detail about why I think this happened in a previous condo. We had a bad pilling episode about a week or so ago where the coating of the thyroid pill had dissolved by the time I FINALLY got it down her throat and it really really upset her. I could smell the pill on her breath for quite awhile. She's now on a transdermal gel med, thankfully. But, she has some residual trust issues I believe and has been sketchy at meal time ever since. I'm not quite sure what to do about her dosing....

Consider a 5 compartment programmable feeder; it was a lifesaver for us. In between shot time (+12) meals I programmed the feeder to advance and feed a mini meal at +4 and +8, In order to ensure the +8 meal was not eaten within 2 hours of shot time I programmed the feeder to advance at +10 and feed a chunk of freeze dried chicken breast. I used the same schedule and amounts both AM and PM.
