2/17/20 BG 133@ +11; 137@ +11.5

[Crystal&Hendrix]

Hello, my sugar babies BG was 133@ +11 so I stalled and didn’t feed him for 30 minutes and I re tested him it was 137@ +11.5. So it’s definitely going up on its own.

I feel SO BAD asking this all the time or posting constantly but with his numbers staying low and now that he’s getting better I have to get myself used to low numbers, stalling, etc.

Do I stall without food for another 30 mins to see if it went up more? I’m pretty sure I know the answer I just want to double check and confirm. Thank you

As you haven’t reached +12 yet keep stalling no food and test +12. That’s when it’s PMPS

Yes his BG was 8.2(148) so I fed him and gave him his medicine! I had to rotate his injection though because when I moved his fur back his back looked really red which kind of worries me

of course but I may have to do it tomorrow morning though as I don’t want to touch his back and make his shot “come out”. I tried to take a photo before I gave him his medicine but he was being super fussy. I will post a photo in the morning as soon as I wake up for his AMPS

You can test at +2 if you want....or if your gut tells you to test earlier, do it!

You always make me giggle! You’re never gloom and doom LOL. Do you think it would be okay to maybe start injecting on the “loose skin” by his the front of his leg and ribs? Would it absorbed faster there though? Yikes. And I’ve always stuck to the scruff/shoulder blade area as it’s the easiest for me because that’s how I learned how to do it. I just try to go up higher by the scruff one day and the next down by his “shoulder blades” but his back looked so red that I had to go back down by his shoulder blades again tonight, somedays I feel like it’s almost “warm to touch” as well. Worries me somedays. I will be sure to try and get a photo to post tomorrow for everyone to see. His poor little ears are all red too I don’t think he’s ever been pricked so much. He hates me somedays he sees that rice sock and gives me the stink eye.

You can shoot in any of these places, but yes, it's possible that absorption would differ from site to site.
