Melissa and her family are in our thoughts this morning. May Turnup have a peaceful crossing and a loving welcome at the Bridge.

Good Morning, Everyone,

It was -20 degrees F. this morning here, but the sun is shining and already it is up to -9. But the dreaded wind-chill hasn't begun yet. Rusty snuggled with his beans last night. At some point he ate all of his nighttime food, but hasn't shown much interest in his breakfast yet. We had a nice schmooze and he is sitting on his perch at the moment, soaking up the sunshine.

Nothing planned for today. We're staying inside. Tonight our "film group" is meeting here to see Werner Herzog's "Antarctica", just to remind ourselves that there are places that are really COLD!!!

Wishing all a good day and sending vines to all kitties and beans in need of some,

Ella & Rusty

Nice start for Rusty but, saving the fud till late to confuse the beans, Russ?

Staying inside is a good plan. Good choiceof movie, trying to stay warm by comparison! :p:pAt least you don't have to go out for it,

Morning Ella :coffee::coffee::coffee:

Nice start for you today Rusty! A nice low blue. The lagoon awaits!

-20????? That is COLD! Good idea to stay indoors. Love the choice of movie for tonight. Seems fitting somehow. :)

Have a good day today. I hope there is sun involved.

What a great movie choice for a wintertime showing! Rusty's blues must be a match for the Antarctic ice. That Rusty is smart, heading for the sun for a snooze!

BBBrrrrrrrrr!! And just thinking about that movie makes me feel even more BBRRRrrrrrr :joyful:!

I hope Rusty has decided is breffis is nummy by now...have a great day, Ella!

Nice start for Rusty. I hope he slides down to the lagoon. That is cold. I think I'd stay inside too. We're finally getting some real snow. :)

The LagoonMeister is on duty. :D He didn't eat much of his breakfast, but he ate some Merricks chicken paté for lunch. I think he may be having a bit of a pancreatitis flare. Just a hunch. Tomorrow I'm going to talk to the vet to see if she thinks it might be a good idea to postpone our visit to the IM specialist and ultrasound in VT until after it gets warmer. Thurs. is predicted to be very cold and windy. We have to take a ferry from Plattsburgh to Grande Isle VT and then some causeways to get to the mainland. The Plattsburgh ferry was still running today (it's a short crossing to Grande Isle), but the Essex-Charlotte ferry was closed owing to high wind and ice on Lake Champlain.
Always something to worry about!

Melissa and her family are in our thoughts this sad day.

Thank you so much for all of your kind words and thoughts. We really appreciate it.

Way to go rusty!! That's the way you do it. I'm with everyone else. Brrrrrrrrr.

Beautiful day for Rusty-- gosh, I hope he isn't having a p-titis flare!!! Sending vines for feeling better! :bighug::bighug::bighug: I don't blame you a bit for canceling your US appointment- I had no idea you had such a long journey to get there- not a good idea in that kind of weather!! Besides, I was worried poor Rusty would be too cold with a shaved tummy.

Have a great evening tonight Ella- stay warm and make sure Rusty gets the best seat in the house! :cat:

Hi again,
Rusty had good appetite for the rest of the day and evening, so I'm not so worried about pancreatitis, especially since his numbers are good. Tomorrow I'll call his vet and, if she says it's OK to postpone, I'll postpone Rusty's specialist appointment to late March or early April. Our friends' daughter was on her way home to Vermont early this morning and she said that it was so cold that the salt didn't melt the ice on the roads and there were numerous cars in the ditches!

The film on Antarctica was really good.

Sorry to miss condos tonight. See you tomorrow,

Ella & Rusty

temperature is -16, going down to -23 (so they say)

Oh, brrrr, brrrr, brrr! That's too cold, even for me!

Yay for the return of Rusty's appy and the departure of p-titis fears!!!! Rusty, stop making your mamabean worry like that!

I hope you are able to reschedule the US appointment. I don't think that trip would be any fun,

I guess I shouldn't complain about my 60 mile trip to our vet in Sac on this sunny 70+ day! :p

Oh my! That is just way too cold for my Florida blood!!!!!! Sending warm thoughts your way. Regardless of the temp, Rusty seems to be enjoying his time in the lagoon! Surf well, you cute boy! Stay warm and safe, Ella!!!
